Lahat ng Kabanata ng Alpha's Obsession: Falling For My Enemy's Daughter: Kabanata 51 - Kabanata 60

Davina's POV I stood still, staring at Desmond like he had grown a second, and even a third head. From Raine's reaction, she was obviously his mate. My heart sunk when I remembered him flirting with me back at the meeting in Alpha Theodore's pack. He didn't mind denying his mate just to continue flirting? "You're mistaken." I whispered, shaking my head. "I'm not..." "I can smell you." He sounded so confident, smiling even. Everyone was staring at us, expecting us to step out together. Until Lucien got up and angrily shoved Desmond away as he pulled me back. "Stay the fuck away from Davina!" "What's your deal with her?" Desmond yelled, pushing at Lucien's chest. "You have a fiancee which you abandoned all for her. She's mine, not yours!" This was the most humiliating moment I had ever experienced. Now there were murmurs all around. People were thinking Lucien was cheating on his fiancee, and I was with someone's man. "Can't you see?" I murmured, hoping to talk sense into his hea

Lucien's POV I opened my eyes, feeling a little different. The first thing I noticed was the warmth surrounding me. Something soft, alive with a steady heartbeat. Davina. She was still in my arms, and I was still in her room, lying on her bed. At some point in the night, she had shifted in her sleep, turning toward me. Her face was pressed against my chest, her hand curled loosely over my shirt, looking so innocent as she snored softly. I didn't dare move. Maybe because I was too afraid of breaking the magic of the moment. It was morning already, and I was just waking up, which was strange. Usually, when I managed to sleep, I would wake up a number of times, feeling not quite rested. The total hours of sleep usually adds up to two, three hours or anything in between. Goddess, I wanted to stay here all day. Maybe all night. I remembered Peter's words. What if Davina still wanted revenge for what I did to her father? Now that she knew who her father was and what he did, I guess s

Davina's POV I couldn't relax after Lucien had left. I was worried sick, thinking of all the ways things could go wrong. I was more than tempted to go find him and even help out, but I was well aware that I would be more distraction than help. Instead, I kept pacing the house, trying to distract myself, while Caleb trailed after me. He would not give me a breathing space, talking about how he was only following Lucien's order to protect me. Rowan on the other hand was too busy to be found. "Are you hungry?" Caleb asked out of no where. I turned to him, wondering how he could even think of food at all. "I can make you some cereal." I shook my head. "I am not. I don't even think I can stomach anything right now." "I was just trying to take your mind off. I'm sure the Alpha will be fine. You look so worried." I had walked to the living room downstairs now, and the poor guy still followed me. I slumped on a couch, and he did the same with another. I was not supposed to leave my room

Davina's POV I had been drifting in and out of sleep. I could not tell if I had been dreaming or hallucinating. Maybe both. But when I finally regained consciousness fully, I realized that I was sitting on a chair, and I could not move my body freely. I looked down to see that my hands and legs were chained to the chair tightly, and it would be impossible to free myself. I still felt dizzy, my head a little light from the drug Caleb injected in me. Caleb. My heart squeezed as I remembered his betrayal. He had been so focused on protecting me. He had always done his job well, whenever Lucien asked him to take care of me. And I thought—I truly believed that he cared about me. I thought about Lucien. Would he be worried about me? Or maybe this was an opportunity for him to forget me completely. Because I was certain that Kane would kill me. The thought of Lucien abandoning me hurt so much that I literally felt pain in my chest. The room was dark and I could not see. My wolf vision

TRIGGER AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION Davina's POV I looked at Kane, then at the three people standing, scared for their lives. The girl already burst into sobs, begging me not to kill her. But Kane said if I don't kill one, he would kill all three. What kind of choice was that? My heart skipped when I heard a beeping sound, and I realized that he had set a timer. A timer for me to take a life. Sweat beaded at my forehead, and I felt cold and sick inside. "Kane, these two are children." My voice quivered. "Don't do this please." My eyes darted to the other people in the room. They were five of them now, all watching like this was some kind of sport. I wanted to plead with them. Maybe one of them will consider, just because these were innocents, and two of them were too young to be involved in this. "Don't be selfish." Kane said, hands now folded across his chest. "Your delay means that you just want the three of them dead." My hands shook from the wrongness of the choice. From th
