Semua Bab Saved by the Hockey Star Haunted by the Professor : Bab 1 - Bab 5

The Silent Girl and the StarKendra I keep my head down as Professor West hands back our papers. The familiar knot in my stomach tightens when I see the red ink covering most of my classmates' work. Mine comes back clean, with just one comment written in his neat handwriting across the top: "Exceptional work, Miss Hayes. See me after class."My heart sinks."As you can see, most of you failed to grasp the basic concepts we've been discussing," Professor West announces to the lecture hall. His voice carries that tone teachers use when they're disappointed but trying not to show it. "However, one student truly understood the assignment."Please don't say my name. Please don't.."Miss Hayes, would you mind sharing your thesis with the class?"Every head turns toward me. Thirty pairs of eyes, all staring. My cheeks burn as I shrink lower in my seat. "I... um..." The words stick in my throat like they always do when people look at me."Come now, don't be shy," Professor West says, walking

The Rules of the GameKendra I slip into class three minutes late, hoping to avoid eye contact with anyone. Especially Axel. But as I hurry toward an empty seat in the back, I feel his eyes following me."Miss Hayes," Professor West calls out. "Since you're late, perhaps you'd like to share your thoughts on yesterday's reading?"My cheeks burn as every head turns toward me. Students glance between them like they're watching a tennis match."That's enough, Mr. Cross," Professor West says coldly. "See me after class.""Looking

Let Me Be Your SinKendra I don't sleep at all. Every time I close my eyes, I see Axel walking toward that faculty party with murder in his eyes. By morning, my phone had seventeen missed calls from him and three text messages. It's done.We need to talk.Meet me before class. But when I get to campus, Axel isn't waiting for me. Instead, there's a note taped to my locker: Dean's office. Now. - AMy stomach drops. This can't be good. The administrative building feels like a tomb as I walk down the hallway. Through the glass windows of the dean's office, I can see Axel sitting in a chair across from Dean Morrison. His knuckles are bruised."Ah, Miss Hayes," Dean Morrison says when I knock. "Please, come in."Professor West is sitting in the corner, looking perfectly composed. He gives me a small smile that makes my skin crawl."Sit down, Miss Hayes," the dean continues. "We have a serious situation to discuss."I take the chair next to Axel. He won't look at me."Mr. Cross has been acc
