Lahat ng Kabanata ng The Billionaire Hockey King Stole A Kiss From Me: Kabanata 211 - Kabanata 220

Chase’s POV“Are you in love with him,” was the last question I heard Edna Jones asking Carmen when I returned back to the party.I was feeling horrible, but then again, I couldn’t let anyone know about what happened in the bathroom. I was going to keep it private, just as I had done with sending the emails to Arnold.Unfortunately, I couldn’t stop thinking about Arnold’s words and how painfully piercing they were to my soul.“Is anyone going to answer my question?” I asked, trying to distract myself.Maybe I would be able to stop the feeling of shame and pain in my chest if I got distracted for a bit, and not even attempt to look at Arnold, who was back to standing right across from us in the room.I wasn’t really looking at him, but I could tell where he was; that was how much affected I was by his presence.“Carmen and I were talking about a very handsome celebrity, and I was wondering if she was having a star-crush on him,” Edna answered lightly.“Oh,” I responded in astonishment.

Carmen’s POVThe party continued, but it wasn’t like the regular parties that we were used to. There wasn’t loud music, or people dancing and drinking, like in Terry’s house, but it was a calm and soothing party.I got to watch Chase speak to most of the men some more, and my admiration for him intensified. The way Chase had their attention hooked was something I couldn’t quite comprehend. However, I was hooked as well.My ringing phone distracted me, and I had to step aside to take the call.“Hello, this is Carmen Vega,” I said when I picked the call without really checking the cell number.I was so consumed with thoughts of Chase that I didn’t even bother to check, or worry about the fact that it was an unsaved number.“Someone has completely abandoned me,” a familiar female voice boomed over the receiver, and I almost froze. It was Lori.“Lori,” I said through a gasp.“Oh, I see that you still remember my name,” she teased.Lori had always been a sweet stepmother…well, if I took a

Carmen’s POV“Carmen, Jesus, did you sleep in the living room?” That was the voice I heard in my sleep, and before I opened my eyes, I knew that it was Millie, and I groaned deeply. She had just come to interrupt the best sleep I was having, and I didn’t want it to end even though she had already succeeded in waking me up.Goodness, last night was so perfect, and the sleep was amazing; more than I had ever had in a really long time, and I didn’t want it to end.“Carmen, wake up!” Millie said with a louder voice, forcing me to open my eyes.“Gosh, Millie, why would you wake me up like that?” I asked drowsily.“Because you are sleeping in the living room, and stark naked at that!” Millie stated. My eyes widened as realization dawned on me, and truly, when I looked at my body, I realized that I was naked. Worse, my dress and underwear were right in the middle of the living room, a few steps from me.That was where Chase had flung them when he undressed me last night, and thinking about

Carmen’s POVMillie did me a favor by getting the morning-after-pill, but I made sure she did it with my money. I felt so humiliated and insulted that I didn’t want anything to do with Chase’s money, especially the one he threw at me like I was some whore or something.“Stop feeling bad about it,” Millie told me after I finished taking the pill.“Why wouldn’t I?” I asked Millie.“Well, I would have said it isn’t your fault, but he didn’t force himself on you,” Millie started, and I shook my head.Chase didn’t force himself on me.He would never do that, and he would never have to do that. The moment his lips touched mine, I knew that I was done for. I knew that I wanted him wholly and completely.Even when Chase warned me, I motivated him by asking him again, and if it wasn’t how he had treated me this morning, I wouldn’t have regretted it because last night with Chase Maddox had had me singing melodies.I could still feel the presence of me between my legs. How could he have called t

Carmen’s POVMillie came out as soon as Terry left, and I just stood there, staring into nothingness like a statute.“What the heck?!” Millie was livid.I couldn’t say anything. I didn’t have anything to say.Never in my entire existence have I experienced something like this.It was bad enough what Chase did after the sex, but to send Terry to help him complete it was just hurtful and deeply heartbreaking, and I felt like I was going to pass out from the shock of it.“I really had to hold myself from coming out and asking him to leave,” Millie continued angrily. “How dare he?!” Millie raved. From her words and reactions, she obviously eavesdropped and heard everything Terry said, and as embarrassing and painful as it was, it was better that way, because I wasn’t sure I could ever repeat those words the way Terry had said it.“Carmen, I am so sorry,” Millie started again, feeling deeply sorry for me.“Don’t feel sorry for me, Millie,” I said, my voice shaking with hurt.Millie came cl
