Alle Kapitel von Divorced Husband, His Regret : Kapitel 1 – Kapitel 10

~Rose~My head slumped drowsily onto the table, but I forced myself to stay awake. Sitting right in front of me were my husband and his girlfriend. This morning, he had told me he was going to see her. I insisted on coming along, thinking he was only joking, but he wasn’t.If I had known he was serious, I would’ve just stayed home. Now, all I could do was silently pray their conversation would end quickly so I wouldn’t feel any more humiliated.I glanced at his girlfriend. She had been with him for over three months now, his longest relationship with any woman. He changes girlfriends like clothes, always showing them love and attention. But never once had he treated me, his legal wife, that way.I sighed and looked down at the table. Even though I was sitting there, I felt out of place. Knowing my husband was with another woman right before my eyes was heartbreaking. But what could I do? Nothing. I loved him too much to risk upsetting him.Should I leave and give them some space? The

~Rose~I spent the next few hours wandering the streets, completely lost. I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that I had just divorced James.Maybe it wouldn’t hurt this much if I had never loved him.But I did. Deeply. And now my chest ached as I thought about all the madness I endured during our marriage, the times I obsessed over him while he was out chasing other women.Eventually, my legs gave in and I decided to head home. At least there, I could find comfort… maybe even cry in my parents’ arms.I forced a smile and dragged myself home, clinging to hope. But the moment I walked through the door, every bit of that hope vanished.I swallowed down the sob rising in my throat.“You divorced James Scott?” my father asked sharply.“Dad…” I began, confused by his tone.Slap! The blow came out of nowhere. I hadn’t seen it coming, and my already frail body nearly collapsed.Tears streamed down my face as I struggled to process what had just happened. It hadn’t even been five minutes

~ROSE~°Five years later°“You did what? You fired three workers?” Chloe's sharp voice rang through the call.I winced and moved the phone away from my ear. I wasn’t ready to go deaf from her shouting.“Your new company just opened yesterday, and this is already happening? What will people think?” Her tone grew sharper.I set the phone down on the table and continued folding the small clothes in my hands.“Those useless workers bullied Princess. I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t checked the CCTV footage.”Normally, nothing like that would’ve happened, but I had left her in their care while I went for a meeting.“Seriously? And here they were, crying about how unfair you were for firing them without reason!” Chloe snapped again.“Just let it go. Princess is fine now.”I put the phone back to my ear while I continued packing everything into the bags. I was preparing to move back to Rochester for the other company's branch launch. With silence on Chloe’s end for a while, I managed to fin

Rose's POV Rochester airport ~“Yay, we’re in Rochester already!” Jasmine exclaimed cheerfully as the plane touched down and passengers began to disembark.I drew in a steady breath before taking the kids’ hands and stepping off with them.Looking around, I let the moment sink in. I was really here, back in a place I had once known. But this time, I wasn’t here for the past. I had a purpose. And after that, I’d be gone.Princess, walking happily at my side, looked up at me with a smile. “Mommy, are we going to stay here?”“Yes, but only for a little while,” I replied softly.Turning to Paxton and Peter, I noticed them also scanning the surroundings with wide eyes, their curiosity matching Princess’s excitement. The sight of all three children so eager and fascinated made me feel lighthearted. “Alright, everyone,” I said warmly, “let’s go pick up our luggage at the checkpoint.”They nodded in agreement, their nanny following close behind. As we moved through the crowd, I could feel ey

Rose's POV “Peter! Princess! Paxton!” I knocked again, louder this time.It took quite a while before the door finally opened, and by then my knuckles were already hurting.I stepped inside gently, but my footsteps slowed as my eyes widened. What on earth?!My gaze sharpened as I looked around. The room was a complete disaster. Pillows were on the floor, the duvet was tossed everywhere, and the kids’ clothes were scattered all over.I slowly lifted my eyes to their nanny, Lucia, who wore a helpless expression.“What is all this? Who made this mess?” I demanded. Before she could respond, I noticed three little heads peeking from the balcony. The kids.“Come here.”I glanced at the mess again, then at the kids with their heads bowed. I sighed, it was obvious they were responsible.I watched them walk over slowly, their steps unsteady.Folding my arms, I waited to hear what they had to say. As they approached, they exchanged nervous glances, silently deciding who would speak first.Their
