A knock on the door caused Lily to look up from her laptop, which had tons of designs displayed on them, and her brows furrowed in confusion. She didn't order room service. Coming back to New York felt weird. The bland welcome they received from the helps and the home that lacked the warmth of an actual home was a jarring push to reality. They weren't in Paris anymore. Asher slowly crept into the house, careful not to wake anyone up. He ended up staying longer than he expected at the hospital and he barely had the time to check up on Lily.
