《Rejected Luna : Alpha's Promise, King's Claim》全部章節：第 21 章 - 第 30 章

VENUSHis words send a current rippling beneath my skin, electric and maddening. I hate how I crave more of that feeling and how empty the space feels the moment he swims past me.“Training sessions ahead are going to get difficult,” he says, his voice calm but laced with a quiet warning. “So you better be careful with your words.”The threat is subtle, but it lands. I want to throw a sharp retort back, something to cut through his authority but I bite my tongue. No matter how much I want to challenge him, he’s the Alpha King and the instructor here. He holds all the power. And he knows it.My gaze follows him as he rises from the lake, droplets of water trailing down his sculpted back to his perfect ass. He doesn’t bother to dry off, just strides into the forest like he does not give a fuck about who sees him like this. The thought of some other girl seeing him naked does not sit well with me. I shove it away. But as he leaves, I realize that my worries are also gone. I feel much be

VENUSI don’t know if it's his words or something else, but the next thing I notice is my hand connecting against his face in a tight slap. The sound of the slap rings against the huge field and gets everyone’s attention. “Bitch! What the fuck?” Trent growls at me. I’m snapped back to reality and see everyone staring at me. “Venus, are you okay?” Sydney asks me, shock and concern written all over her face. A group of people who seem to be Trent’s friends in this camp step to his side and Olivia is one of them. She glares at me. “What is your problem, huh?! Why are you always creating a scene?” “Hey, don’t blame her. This jerk must have said something bad!” Sydney growls at Olivia, taking my side even though she did not hear what he said. “Oh, please. Trent is a good guy. If he said something then it must be for a reason and I can see why,” Olivia gives me a once-over and her judgemental gaze almost feels like a stab. As if that isn’t enough, Mallory walks in. “What happened? Why

VENUSBronze frowns and starts to massage his head as if my words gave him a headache. “You know that I have nothing with her.” He mutters. I scoff and cross my arms over my chest. “Yes, except the fact that she’s your mate and the Luna of this pack now.” “I gave you the ring. Not Mallory!” He explains himself, the frustration etched on his face. “But it seems like you are focused on getting cozy with Rowan.” He spats. My eyes grow wide at his words. “What?! What the hell are you talking about?” Bronze looks at the window, his jaw clenched. “I saw how Rowan carried you and what you two were doing behind the campgrounds.” He mutters and I purse my lips. I didn’t expect him to follow us there. “Looks like you two are getting quite close.” He says and gives me an accusatory look. I scowl. “You can’t be jealous when you are literally roaming and holding hands with Mallory. Just because you gave me your ring and put me back in the camp doesn't mean I’m back with you.” I raise my voi

VENUSHis teasing lights a fire under my skin, and I push myself to my feet. He won the first round.Round two. This time, I need to be smarter.I lower my stance, feet grounded on the mat, eyes locked on his posture. He’s centered, perfectly balanced. Calm. Ready.I fake a high punch. He bites, raising his arms to block, just as I predicted. I dive low with a sweeping kick, aiming to take out his legs. But he jumps midair. Twisting like a damn acrobat, landing behind me with a silent grace that makes me freeze.Shit. That was cool. Before I can react, his arm snakes around my waist. He locks my arm, shifts his weight, and in one fluid motion, executes a hip throw that sends me crashing onto the mat again. This time, it’s my pride that hits harder than the floor. He extends a hand, that maddeningly charming smile on his face. I grab it with a begrudging huff.“You’re strong,” I mutter, unable to keep the grudging respect out of my voice.“I get that a lot,” he says with a wink.I can’

VENUSThe fact that Alex’s mom knows Rowan piques my curiosity. “What’s your mom’s name?” Alex smiles. “Lilian. Lilian Volkov.” I frown. “Doesn’t ring any bells. I’ll ask my mom.” “She probably won’t remember,” Alex replies with a wry smile. “My mom prefers staying in the background. She’s not very social and does not like public attention.”I hum in understanding. Well, if Alex’s mom works with Rowan, then they must be close. Alex leans back and adds with a grin. “I’d love to meet your family someday. If you’d ever want to introduce your new friend to them.” I raise a brow at him. “Friend?” “Ouch. Am I not?” He dramatically widens his eyes. I chuckle, shaking my head. Alex is easy to get along with. I never had a guy friend, so I don’t know what it feels like to open up to one. The only man I believed was my best friend now keeps blaming me for everything. Bronze’s words still echo in my head and it makes my heart sink. Sydney’s voice rings out and I find her dragging hersel
