Thursday, 12th October, 7:32 AMHoney stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror, carefully assessing her options. Last night, she'd slept restlessly despite the comfort of her friends' presence in the penthouse. The pain had kept her awake. The bruise on her cheek had darkened overnight, a vivid purple-blue stain that no amount of makeup could fully conceal. She pressed her fingertips gently to the edge, wincing at the tenderness. It would be at least a week before this faded completely. She did not want to answer questions about it. It was bad enough that Grayson knew. She sighed, reaching for her pain medication. Tossing back the pills, she swallowed them dry. It wasn't like she had an empty stomach. Lauren and Maggie had made sure she had eaten before they left this morning to get to their own jobs. She wasn't sure if Lauren was working on anything right now since when they had caught up that last time and she had run into Grayson as Honey, Lauren had just wrapped up a movie.

Grayson watched Joy leave his office, her back straight despite the obvious pain she must be feeling. The bruise on her face had darkened overnight which couldn't be hidden behind makeup, a vivid reminder of Riley Smith's violence. Just seeing it made his blood boil all over again. He'd barely slept. After Joy left with her security detail, he'd spent hours on the phone, first with Katherine Blackwell, giving his statement about the assault, then with Nate, calling in a favor to track down Riley Smith and ensure the restraining order was served before the man could disappear again.Grayson paced the length of his office, unable to shake the image of Joy's bruised face from his mind. Not being able to get hold of Red last night had added to his frustration. Two women, two situations he couldn't control, and it was driving him insane. He didn't like not being in control, so now he was doing everything he could to control what he could. Part of that plan was to have one of Nate's people

Honey sat in the back of the car as Amanda drove her back to the penthouse, she pulled out her new phone and stared at the screen, her. There was no point putting this off, she needed to know. The number she dialed wasn't saved. She'd memorized it from Riley's phone bill, when she'd been gathering evidence. Brittany Davis answered on the third ring."Hello?" The voice was young, uncertain."Brittany, this is Honey Smith."Silence stretched across the line. Then a small, shaky breath."I... I don't think I should be talking to you.""Please," Honey said, keeping her voice gentle. "I just need to ask you one question, and then I'll never contact you again."Another pause. "Okay."Honey gripped the phone tighter. "Has Riley ever hurt you? Physically, I mean. Hit you, grabbed you, anything like that?"Amanda caught her eye in the rearview mirror. But she said nothing."What? No!" Brittany's surprise sounded genuine. "Never. He wouldn't... why would you ask that?"Relief flooded through Ho

"I've been thinking about this all day," he said, his voice roughening. "About you kneeling for me, about claiming you."Honey knelt before Sir, her pulse thrumming with anticipation as she gazed up at his masked face. The heat in his eyes sent ripples of desire through her body, making her nipples hard and her pussy clench on nothing."What are you waiting for?" he asked, his voice a low rumble that vibrated through her. "Show me how much you've missed me."Understanding his command, Honey reached for his belt, her fingers working the buckle. She slid it through the loops, the soft hiss of leather against fabric filling the quiet room. His eyes never left her face as she unbuttoned his pants and lowered the zipper, revealing the outline of his arousal straining against his black boxer briefs."May I, Sir?" she asked, looking up through her lashes."Yes, good girl for asking," he said, his voice tighter now. "Show me what that pretty mouth can do."Honey eased his pants and boxers dow

On the other side of the locked door, Grayson pressed his forehead against the cool wood, one fist clenched at his side. His heart hammered in his chest, adrenaline still coursing through his veins from their explosive encounter and the shock of recognition in her eyes when his mask had fallen."Red!" He pounded once more, frustration evident in every line of his body. "This changes nothing. Please, open the door."No response. Just silence that stretched taut between them."Goddammit," he muttered, dragging a hand through his hair. He'd thrown on his pants and mask but hadn't bothered with his shirt, his chest still slick with cooling sweat. She worked for him. Somewhere in Taylor Industries, there was a woman he'd been dominating, fucking, fantasizing about, a woman who took his orders during the day and surrendered to him at night. The thought sent a fresh wave of heat through him, followed immediately by professional concern. This complicated everything, even if they both hadn't k
