The next day, Seth brought me to a bar, claiming that he wanted to reintroduce me to his friends. “You traitor!” Lucien raised a fist and aimed it at Seth. “How dare you, Seth Kaplan. To think I trusted you like you were my best friend. His tone was icy as he said, “You were the one who shoved her at me. From the moment you started tricking her, you should have already anticipated this happening!”“Traitor!” Lucien was incensed. He once again raised his fist. After fumbling to get my clothes, I immediately rushed forward. “What are you doing?” I jumped in front of Seth to shield him. The next morning, Lucien came back.He was dragging a huge suitcase behind him.“What are you doing?” I questioned him. Lucien boldly walked through the door. “Annie, this is our home. Get out of here!”Seth calmly took off his apron and straightened his sleeves. He looked at me and asked, “Annie, will you leave with me?”“Sure.” I nodded easily. Lucien reached out and grabbed my hand. His voice was stern as he said, “You can’t go with him, Annie. I’m your real husband! We met before we were even twenty years old. I’ve been with you through your hardest times. How could you leave with some other guy?”I swung his hand away. I impatiently said, “I don’t want to listen to anything you have to say. I moved into Seth’s home. However, I could not shake Lucien off. He found his way there as well. He timed his visit for a time when Seth would be out on a business trip. He stopped me when I went out for a stroll. “Let’s have a chat, Annie.”I simply walked around him.
