Lily’s POVI couldn’t hold back the tears as I watched my mother’s coffin being lowered into the ground. While everyone around me was busy with one thing or the other, I stood rooted to a spot. Unable to move, to talk, or to even speak. To me, the world had lost all meaning. The only thing I could make sense of were the hot tears that streamed down my face. After that moment, everything went by in a blur. The moment we got back to the house, I dragged myself up to my room and locked myself inside.
