Lahat ng Kabanata ng Awakened: The Luna’s Revenge After Exile: Kabanata 141 - Kabanata 150

SELENA’s POV.The car had been parked for over five minutes but I was still finding it hard to come out. I told myself I was done with her and I would never see her again but the thought of everything that has been happening would not let me. I couldn’t put a blind eye to it, not when it concerns the people around me.“We can turn back if you want” Aiden suggested, “you don’t look too good”“I am fine” I forced out a smile, “I am just bracing myself for what’s coming. I vowed never to come here again, I just—“I can go in for you” he said after a while, “okay?”I smiled gently, he was always looking for ways to help relieve any kind of stress I was going through. I couldn’t help but be appreciative of him and everything he has done for me ever since I came across him again.“Don’t worry, Aiden” I told him, “I am fine”He smiled at me, leaning forward and pressing a kiss on my forehead. I have already gotten used to it, I couldn’t even push him away.“Shall we?”“Hmmm” I nodded and he

AIDEN’s POV.“What did you say?” I took a step closer to him. I totally understood that he was grieving but I was phoebe’s fucking caretaker. Bringing Selena into this was just low.“I said if Selena was involved, would you have treated this with kid gloves?” He repeated himself, pain enveloping his entire existence.“Pete” Zelda called out to him, trying to reason with him but the only thing he could think about right now was the pain he was going through.“Why the heck did you let her go alone then?” I half yelled, all the veins in my neck pushing out of me, “if you loved her so much, why did you let her go on her own? Why didn’t you go with her?”He remained silent. He was not crying but his heart was broken. I knew how much he struggled to stay away from her all these years but he lived. Seeing her dead was another kind of pain for him. I totally understood it but bring Selena into this? What the heck?“If you want to fight me then fight me when you have taken revenge on the mothe

SELENA’s POV.I didn’t say anything until the car pulled up in front of the house and I immediately stepped out. All I wanted to do now was just go into my room and rest. I was tired. Tired of the world and everything it had to offer me. My only crime was being born and now I hate it. It would have been better if the moon goddess took my life rather than my mother’s life. At least she would have been able to navigate through everything that was happening. But me? I was tired. Everything inside of me was tired and a little selfish part of me just wanted to end it all—take my own life and maybe then I would take a little rest.As soon as I entered the house, I saw Zelda and Pete seated in the living room. I didn’t even have the energy to ask why the two of them were here. Maybe Aiden asked them to come. I just nodded and made to walk past them but Pete’s voice stopped me in my tracks.“Are you okay, Luna?” He asked. He looked sad, I could see it from his eyes. Did something happen in m

SELENA’s POV.As soon as Aiden saw the content of the message, his eyes darkened but he didn’t say anything. He just continued on his way until we were finally in my room. I didn’t want to sleep or lay in bed but then again I didn’t want to get him upset. He already looked so worried from everything that had happened and the fact that he was hiding something from me was also alarming.“Don’t come out of bed” he ordered, “and I am serious about it”“Why won’t you tell me what’s going on?”“Nothing is going on, baby” Aiden perched on the space beside me, “everything is fine, you are only being paranoid”“Aiden?”“Trust me, Selena” he gently tucked a few strands of my hair to the back of my ear, “I would have told you if there was anything okay?”I knew he was lying because he couldn’t even look me in the eyes. That was something about him, he would avoid eye contact if he knew he was lying but then again, part of me didn’t want to pressure him. If he was lying to me, then maybe it was f

AIDEN’s POV.The journey back home was a silent one. Neither of us said anything to each other. Mostly because I was pissed. I had gone to the pack house only for me to come back home and meet an empty house. Selena was nowhere to be found and I became scared until I was able to mind link with her and I found out she was at the cafe. The anger that boiled inside of me when I walked in and I saw Marcus was something else. First of all, she didn’t tell me she was leaving the house and secondly, she met with him. There is something about him that unsettles me. The way he looked at her didn’t look like someone who respected her. He looked at her like he was in love with her, like he wanted her. Marcus was quiet in a dangerous way but Selena didn’t see anything wrong with that. I didn’t know if she was oblivious of what goes on in his head or she was trying to see the good in him like she always does for others. After a while, I pulled up in front of the house but none of us stepped out.“
