CHAPTER 41: TOPPED?

JARED Stephen stood and came to sit beside me. "You heard what she said. If you want, I can join any of the classes with you." He said, still chewing his food. My lips pursed. As much as I would have loved to continue living a free life, I knew I had to follow the rules. I picked up my phone to search online. What was the essence of the fitness classes on Omegas?Stephen also stretched his neck to read with me. "It helps omegas manage their estrus period and enhance their fertility. With fitness classes, omegas can keep themselves fit, helping them keep their pheromones under control even when sweaty." Stephen read it out. While I read inwardly. "Benefits of fitness classes..." I flipped the phone over on the table and closed my eyes to suppress the headache that was growing. "What do you think? Do I have to join?" I asked wearily. I really didn't want to...Stephen patted my shoulder calmly. "I understand your plight, but I think you have to. You are a newly presented omega, a

CHAPTER 42: CLASS ROOM

JAREDI dragged Stephen to the roof of the school building where I beat him up and only stopped when I was almost out of breath. I panted hard as I rested my back against the wall. "So, tell me, what did he say the next morning?" I asked, my hands in my pockets while trying to act cool. Stephen stood up from the ground, holding his waist with an aggrieved expression on his face. "He said to date him." He replied. "Then, what was your reply?" He shrugged but winced from the pain. "I told him no. There's no way I will date him just because of one night. I still want to date an omega." He explained like he'd done the best thing in the world. My lips pulled up, anger and annoyance blaring within me. "So, what's your plan?" I asked through gritted teeth. Stephen clapped. His earlier pained expression disappeared instantly, and he grinned. "I plan to completely forget about him and start pursuing an omega. There's an omega in the economics department. She's petite and beautiful..."

CHAPTER 43: INFLUENCE

JAREDThe test began and ended just as fast. The professor kept glancing at me all through, and when we submitted, he gestured for me to wait. After arranging the papers, he approached and said with a smile: "Jared, will Mr Sterly pick you up this afternoon?" My brows twitched. So, Stephen was indeed right..."I don't know," I replied with a polite smile. "Mr Sterly is a busy man." Though he picked me up every day from school, I couldn't expect him not to miss a day. He was a workaholic, and I understood his plight. But the professor's smile didn't falter as he nodded in understanding. "If you have time, just let him know that Professor Leo says his greetings." He said, laughed, and walked away. I kept nodding until he disappeared from my view. Only then did Stephen approach and take my school bag from me. "He's all about Mr Sterly, right?" He asked. I nodded, still

CHAPTER 44: IN THE CAR

JAREDSterly's eyes widened when I pounced on him, and he swiftly held my waist to support me. "What are you doing?" He breathed out. My lips pursed. Following the movement of his lips, my chest seemed to burn, and my scent, regardless of the prohibitor and scent patch, flowed out in waves. His eyes shifted, and his breathing quickened. "Jared..." He called. After so many days of indulging in sexual acts due to the estrus, I realized that Sterly's self-control seemed to have weakened a lot. He was no longer so hesitant to touch me, and at the moment, his pheromone was starting to leak out, too. I swallowed hard. My fingers trailed between us, finding his zipper, and I pulled it down. "Jared." He called again, his tone a bit hesitant. I captured his lips with mine, stopping his words. Sterly held my shoulders and stopped the kiss. His heterochromatic eyes searched mine, his lips parted, and his breathing was a bit too fast. "Get out." He rasped. My eyes widened. "Get... g

CHAPTER 45: JOURNEY HOME

JARED"Jared." Sterly's voice rang in my ears. I yawned and rolled around in bed, ignoring the voice. "Jared?" He called again. Biting my lower lip, I forced my eyes open and looked at him. My body ached and was extremely sore. After screaming and sobbing for almost all night, my estrus seemed to be finally over, but I really didn't want to wake up. Especially when I thought about what we had to do today. "Can we go later?" I asked, blinking hard. Sterly's lips twitched. He seemed to be holding back a smile as he held my hand and gently squeezed. "It's already noon." He replied. My eyes widened. "Noon?" I asked in disbelief. "Oh no. Your mum must be waiting already." The sleepiness seemed to have disappeared as I rushed up from the bed. "I will take a bath first," I said, already making my way into the bathroom.

CHAPTER 46: STERLY'S HOME

JAREDAfter getting a few things in the supermarket for Sterly's family, we drove down to their house. Getting there, my anxiety spiked, but Sterly continued holding my hand. Since we left the supermarket, he seemed to have sensed my thought and never let go of my hand as if to give me silent comfort. Which was really appreciated. He stopped the car before his family's house, and as expected, his family was already standing outside with bright smiles on their faces. Seeing their welcoming and excited faces, a smile also formed on my face, successfully washing away my fear and anxiety. When Sterly stopped the car, I removed my hand from his and quickly stepped out of the car to approach Juliana, his mother. "Oh, my darling." Juliana beamed and walked over. She hugged me warmly, her hand stroking my back. She held my shoulders, checked me over, and her brows creased. "Why have you lost so much weight? Is Sterly not feeding you well?" I giggled. "No, mum. Sterly has been good."

CHAPTER 47: GIFTS

JAREDAfter the meal, we all relaxed in the sitting room. I sat with my legs sprawled, unable to support my big belly. Juliana had been rubbing for a while, hoping to ease my discomfort, and fortunately, it seemed to be helping. Seeing that everyone was relaxed enough, I shifted in my seat, resting my head on Juliana's arm. "Sterly and I...""Yes, Jared, mum got you guys some things." Juliana beat me to it. My lips pursed as I raised my eyes to look at her. But she didn't seem to notice the wronged expression on my face as she smiled excitedly. "Drake, Linda, go and bring the things we got." She ordered. Drake and Linda were eager. They both went to bring them. Not long after, the two Alphas returned with different bags in hand and dropped them at the empty space in the sitting room. Half of the space was filled with gifts. "These are for us?" I asked in bewilderment.

CHAPTER 48: LIGHT FESTIVAL

JAREDWe returned to the house at 10 in the evening. Juliana and Leo were both watching a festive family drama. Juliana was in Leo's arms, and they were both laughing. Seeing that, the four of us shared a glance and anonymously decided not to interrupt the two lovers. "Good night," I said first. The rest nodded, and after a brief hug among the siblings, we found our way to our various rooms. I would be spending the night in Sterly's room. After taking a shower, I returned to the room with a bathrobe wrapped around my body while wiping my hair. "I'm done," I said to Sterly, who was typing away on his phone. He was used to it. Any given opportunity would be used to work. Hearing my voice, he raised his head and nodded. "Okay." He replied and stood up. Sterly walked past me, and his pheromone slightly wafted into my nose. My brows creased. Sterly had never been so careless... Why would his pheromone leak out?But I shrug and push the thought down. Maybe he was just tired.

CHAPTER 49: LEAVING

JAREDMy heart trembled. Pregnancy? How? When?I stared at her with a parted jaw, unable to say anything for a moment. "Mum, you think Jared is pregnant?" Drake's voice broke the silence, and I turned to look at them, only to see the whole family standing at the entrance. They all looked at me with sparkling eyes, their face brightening and excited. "Really? I'm going to have a granddaughter?" Leo exclaimed, his excitement leaking from his voice. Juliana snorted. "It's a grandson." She retorted. Linda crossed her arms, her lips pursed, but the excitement in her eyes was almost overflowing. "This is nice..." "He's not pregnant." A cold and firm voice interrupted. My eyes twitched. "Sterly, maybe..." Juliana tried to talk. Sterly stared at her. His expression was unreadable. "He's not." He replied again. My heart sank. My parted lips slowly closed, and sadness welled up in my heart. Sterly's words were like a thousand knives breaking past my heart. It was painful. I star

CHAPTER 50: SICKNESS

JAREDI alighted from Sterly's car and waved at him. "See you in the evening," I said excitedly. Sterly also waved in return. "Okay. Good luck with your test." He said. A smile formed on my face. Though the test was annoying and I'd have complained about a test coming up in only a week, close to the exam, but seeing Sterly complaining for me earlier in the day, all I felt now was amusement and excitement. Early this morning, Sterly had removed the book I slept on and ruffled my hair gently. "Your school is too stressful. Do you want to change school?" Seeing the seriousness in his eyes when he asked, I couldn't hold back my laughter. "Your exams are coming up in a week, right?" Sterly suddenly asked. I snapped out of my thoughts and nodded at him. "Yes, and it ends in two weeks. Our vacation starts in less than a month." I explained, resting my arms on the car. Sterly's eyes lingered on me, and his tone t
