Lahat ng Kabanata ng Alpha's Regret: His Rejected Hybrid Mate: Kabanata 211 - Kabanata 220

Aria's POV "What are you saying?" Kyril asked. I looked from Commander Hartley's vacant eyes to Kyril's very rigid profile, then back again. Nurses were still moving around us, whispering anxiously as they looked at us. I studied the commander for a while, noting how his eyes were open–yet lifeless. "Talk to me Aria," Kyril said again, turning to me and gripping my arms. His fingers pressed into my skin. It wasn't harsh, but it was urgent. I shook my head, my breath coming out really fast. "Sienna is an evil witch," I blurted. Then I pulled free from Kyril's hold. Kyril stared at me strangely. "Sienna is no–" "She is a witch," I cut in. "She did this to her father." "And how are you sure this is true?" Marcus asked, eyes fixed on me. "Because I saw her out there," I replied almost immediately. "Back there with Vera. She was part of the three witches." Kyril took a slow step back, his eyes darting around. It was as if he was staring into memories only he could see.

Aria's POV His boot hovered slightly above the ground before settling flat again. His shoulders locked. Even his arms stiffened right at his sides. His eyes widened in complete shock, as he could move or do nothing except to speak. "What the hell are you doing to me?!" I slowly stepped around him, studying him the way one studied some abstract specimen. "That's exactly what Sienna your daughter did to you," I said calmly. "And since you're such an ingrate, I have returned the spell back to where it belonged." He tried in vain to turn his head. Tried also to move his fingers. But nothing followed his commands. The muscles in his neck bulged as he attempted to force his body to obey him. But it didn't. Then his breathing quickened. "This is witchcraft!" He spat. "You all can't watch this go on. No!" "Yes," I replied calmly, watching as he struggled even harder. Veins soon rose along his temples, and his jaw clenched so tightly I thought his teeth might crack. A low growl slo

Aria's POVI shook Kyril's hands off me, and I stepped back as though his touch suddenly got heated up. "I'll go," I said. "I'll go get my children and best friend." Kyril stared at me for a moment. He didn't rush to me this time. "You're not going alone," he finally said in a low voice. "You know I can't let that happen." I chucked bitterly. "Do you have a choice? They broke your security system, after all. And they asked for me–" He took steps closer to me, but I took steps away, keeping our distance. "I will not stand here and watch you walk into an obvious trap," he said. "You'll just get killed. Or worse–hypnotized and turned into their pawn. And what's more, they could use you to harm the kids."A dry, broken chuckle escaped me just as I wiped a tear from my face."Kill?" I echoed, not minding the stares I was generating. "Hypnotized? Kyril, I've protected those kids more times than I can even count. Faced witches, rogues, bloody District Mayors, Supreme Councils. You thin

Aria's POVThe witches laughed louder, and my eyes moved desperately from one face to the next until I found her."Sienna," I muttered. She looked so disfigured. Her once delicate beauty had warped into something sharper. Dark veins traced faintly beneath her pale skin. Her cheekbones jutted unnaturally high, and her lips were darker. It curled into a smile that held not a touch of warmth. Her eyes even glowed with power, and she looked less like the woman who had once subtly competed for my position in Kyril's life. She now looked like the Prime Witch–more like the center of a coven. The other witches parted for her as she stepped forward slowly. She still maintained her proud and haughty footsteps despite her disfigured state."Well," she said softly, her voice layered with pride. "You finally came." "Where are my kids?" I demanded, eyes fixed on hers.Sienna chucked. "You truly amaze me, Aria," she said, tilting her head slightly. The witches around her mimicked the motion, doze

Aria's POVIn no time, the battlefield was soaked in blood and magic. The air trembled with the violent clash of claws, gunfire, and incantations. Smoke coiled toward the ceiling in unnatural spirals, and the ancient symbols carved into the ritual floor were smeared with rogue blood. Another beast lunged at me from the side. Its limbs were grotesquely elongated, joints bending wrongly. It had a jaw unhinged far wider than nature ever intended. I was quick to pivot. "Velkaris!" The creature suddenly began to convulse midair before dissolving into a shower of black fragments that hissed as they struck the stone. To my direct left, Kyril's white wolf tore through the rogues with devastating precision. He moved like a controlled violence—no wasted motion, no hesitation. Every snap of his jaws crushed bone, and every swipe of his claws ended one of them. A rogue suddenly leaped for his exposed flank. But I reacted instinctively–slamming my foot into the floor and thrusting both hands
