Lahat ng Kabanata ng LOVE, CONTRACT AND SECRETS: Kabanata 51 - Kabanata 60

My eyes darted slowly around Duncan's room; although, it was a bit different from what I knew.My gaze immediately stopped on one spot, his night stand.I stretched my hand towards the drawer in the stand and pulled it open—wait, that…wasn't my hand.I pulled out some cash and turned to a lady I had never seen before, but somehow felt familiar.“We're done already?” She asked, attempting to take off Duncan's shirt from her body.“Put your clothes back on and leave.”I could hear Duncan very clearly, but I couldn't see him…Was I…seeing this through his eyes?He threw the bundle of cash towards her and she caught it instantly, a grin forming on her face. “Thanks, Sweetie.”“Don't.” His spoke firmly, “Don't refer to me with pet names.”He didn't feel good, not even a little bit. He felt unsettled, empty and completely enraged—all for no reason in particular.I could feel his emotions flowing through me, the heat within him seemed to be getting worse with no valid explanation.“I want yo

“Does he know you have this here?” my gaze followed Lydia as she sat beside me in the living room, handing me a photo album.“Of course he does.” She said with a smile. My gaze fell on the brown album on my lap—it was Duncan's album.Lydia had been so eager to show me Duncan's pictures while growing up and I couldn't lie, I wanted to see them as well.I turned open the cover and the first picture was of him wearing his elementary school uniform. He had this bright smile on his face, holding his lunch box with his school bag on his back.“He should be 7 here, right?”Lydia nodded with a smile. “This was a week after he got adopted. He was so excited to start school because he never got to go in the Orphanage.”My smile turned faint as I stared at the smile on his face. I continued flipping pages and he slowly began to grow older. My smile died down when I noticed something consistent in every single picture—his smile was slowly vanishing. Each smile was more faint than the last and the

“Um Lucy, let me…let me call you back.” I hung up the phone, my eyes still locked on Lydia. “Mrs Stones wants to see me?”She nodded. “You're who she came to see.”Okay, that wasn't weird at all.“O…Kay?” I pushed myself up the bed and followed behind Lydia as we walked out the room.Immediately I got down the stairs, her perfume hit my nostrils, the air filled entirely.A smile formed on her face as soon as she saw me. “Tori.”“Hello…Mrs Stones.” I made my way towards where she was seated. She tapped beside her and I took my seat. “How've you been? It's been a while since I last saw you.” She asked, a faint smile displayed on her face.“I've been just fine, Ma. We've both been busy, so it's fine.”“Exactly, my dear. How's Duncan?”It was really nice that she doesn't know how her was doing.“He's been fine. Was expecting you'd be back to check how he was recovering.” “Oh darling, I really wanted to. I had an early trip to make. But I made sure I called all the time.”I nodded with

My ears were met with a calm fancy music, the ones usually played in occasions filled with wealthy people and well...fancy people. I let out a small gasp as my eyes scanned the large bright hall. it was lit with orange lights that bounced off the white painted wall, causing the gold designs around the room to illuminate perfectly. People were scattered all around, chattering and exchanging pleasantries. My jaw almost touched the ground as I observed different outfits that just screamed expensive without having to try. "I was starting to think you weren't going to show up." Duncan's father came into sight, his wife standing beside him looking as beautiful as she always did. "I didn't see a need to hurry." Duncan responded as we came to a stop in front of them. "oh Tori, darling, you look beautiful." She turned her gaze to me, a grin displayed on her face. "So do you Ma'am. I really love your dress." I confessed. She had on a gold flowing dress which sparkled under the light just

I gently wiped the lip gloss I had applied on my lip. My eyes darted to the mirror in front of me as I proceeded to wiping my eye liner as well.It was a long night.I let out a sigh and tossed the wipe away before washing my face and heading out the bathroom.I couldn't explain what annoyed me the most, the fact that I let that lady make me feel so uncomfortable, or the fact that I convinced Duncan not to do anything about it.It would have been bad if I had let him handle things the way he knew how to—with his temper. But, allowing him do things his way may worsen his Father's image of him and ruin the partnership along side.I pulled my hair into a pony tail and picked up my phone before heading outside the room.I placed a small knock on Duncan's door, slowly pushing it open and poking my head in as usual. My eyes landed on him standing in front of his drink table, holding a glass in his hand as always—also, he was very much shirtless.“I'm sorry, I didn't…”“You're not seeing me
