ALEXI haven't seen Adrian all morning. To me, it felt like a dent. A large dent right in the center of my routine.But to the rest of the pack members, it was like any other normal day. He apparently went on an external patrol rotation with some gammas working border patrol and wouldn't be back until later that night. Don't know why he didn't tell me, but I guess the Alpha of the Clan doesn't need to file away all his movements to a simple member like me. So I asked Liam, as obviously fatigued as he looked. For the rest of the morning, I tell myself I don’t care. It shouldn't matter anyway, it's just a couple hours. But as time stretches by, I can't help but notice that the packhouse almost feels… sharper without him. It's like someone removed a stabilizing weight from the foundation and forgot to warn the house.So while it all looks and feels lighter, there's a noticeable absence that apparently only I am noticing. ALEXI think Adrian's avoiding me. A night’s past since I overheard his conversation with Logan, and though little has happened since then, I really think he doesn't want to talk to me. Not in a cruel or dramatic way, but I can semse he's quietly, deliberately, almost carefully pulling away. It's not like he's vanished either. He’s still in the packhouse, still issuing orders, still present in all the places that matter. He just… reroutes. Changing corridors when I’m coming down one, sending messages through Sage instead of speaking to me directly, keeping his tone level and distant when we do cross paths……it's almost like we’re negotiating logistics and orbiting something fragile instead of actually confronting it.
