Semua Bab Omega Unleashed: Bab 111 - Bab 120

Elena POV A shiver ran down my spine as I pressed down the urge to throw up. The last bit of the powder had just touched the back of my throat and I clamped my lips shut until I was able to force myself to swallow it. Once I was done contemplating the several techniques I could use to peel off the top layer of my tongue, I glared at the empty packet as if it personally offended me. Never in my life have I tasted something so foul that it immediately had me wishing I could pull my tongue out from my mouth, and give it a few rinses in a washing machine or something of equal capacity. Or maybe I could just pull out the whole organ and toss it away. Would probably be faster. I breathed evenly and slowly as I waited for the effects of the drug to fully kick in. Just like Carter had said, I could already feel my pulse slowing down and my eyes growing heavy. I couldn’t deny feeling a sort of relief that he hadn’t given me poison instead. Draven’s face flashed through my mind as I rela

Elena POV I used to love climbing trees when I was little. I climbed them every day and hid amongst the branches anytime my mother would come find me, only coming down when I was done playing. No matter how much my mother scolded, I would still end up on a tree the very next day. One day, when I was seven, I hid in a tree as usual and fell asleep. By the time I woke up, it was already night. I crept home quietly, only to find it empty. At first, I thought my mother had gone to attend a pack meeting and waited for her. But as the night wore on, hunger won over all the joy I’d gotten from playing to my heart’s content. I cried softly at first, then louder until I was practically wailing for my mother. Fortunately, a passing pack member heard me and entered the house to bring me out, promising me snacks if I followed him. Instead of the snacks I had been promised, I was taken to the main hall where a group of mated omegas crowded around my mother, speaking softly to her as she bea

Elena POV “I’m so sorry.” Lucas said in the car as he picked pieces of egg shell out of my hair and put them on the jacket lying between us. “I should have been more observant.” Asking him not to bother hadn’t had any effect, so I let him pick them out, without mentioning that I could feel even more pieces of egg shells glued to my neck and my back. “It’s not your fault.” I said quietly, looking out the window. Outside, clouds gathered in large balls of grey, floating solemnly as they looked like they were about to weep for me. “You don’t have to apologize.” “When I find out who they are,” he gritted out through clenched teeth, “they’ll pay for it. I’m already working with the hospital’s security and I’ll have their identities soon enough.” “No,” I said leaning my head against the headrest despite knowing it would make it dirty. I was honestly beyond caring at that point. “No?” He stilled, his hand still in my hair, “why not?” “You heard them.” I tried to keep the trembling out

Elena POV “Right.” Noah said, still looking between Draven and I. “So who’s coming along with me?” “I am.” Draven said in a tone that allowed for no arguments. “Then we’ll be leaving in a few days.” Noah said, still on his feet. “So if you have any things you need to settle…” ‘Do you have to go?’ I asked Draven through our mind link, naked desperation in my voice. He nodded his head once, a tiny nod that I would have missed if I hadn’t been looking directly at him. ‘I’ve been summoned by the order of the seven Luna. To not go would be to betray the vow I made to them, to betray myself. It would also give them the right to wage war on us and our people. We’ve already lost so much. We can’t lose any more people.’ I tried to keep the warmth filling my eyes from spilling over, ‘then let me go with you. We could face them together.’ ‘Did you forget you’re the Luna?’ He chuckled softly. ‘In my absence, you’re the only one left for the people to turn to. We can’t both leave.’ ‘The

Elena POV ‘Just go.’ A thought crossed my mind. Who knew if he was going to tell me the truth anyway? I can’t believe a word out of someone like him who made a joke out of everything. “Do you really want to die without knowing why?” His voice was strained. The first real sign of emotion he’d shown all day. Against my better judgement, I turned away from the door slowly and faced him, “tell me.” He stared at me for a while, but then his shoulders relaxed and he gestured me back to the chair I’d been seating on, “sit so we can talk.” I sat on the chair and raised my hand to stop him as he started to speak, “I have a question to ask before you start.” His left eye twitched and he paused for a moment before asking, “what is it?” I drew in a deep breath, “why did you abandon her? Abandon us? I think I deserve to know the reason at least.” “I already told you.” He immediately sat up straight, “it’s compli—“ “Complicated,” I cut in, “yes, you mentioned. What I want to know is, what
