Rae’s POV The morning light slipped through the curtains in soft golden ribbons, painting stripes across Killian’s bare back where he lay sprawled beside me. He’d stayed longer than he should have—again—slipping out only when the first real sounds of the house waking up drifted down the hallway. I’d pretended to be asleep when he kissed my temple and whispered, “See you later, angel,” but my heart had been wide awake the second his lips left my skin. Now the bed felt too big without him.I stretched—long and lazy—feeling every delicious ache he’d left behind last night. My thighs were tender, my lips still faintly swollen, and between my legs there was that warm, used-up throb that made me smile into the pillow like a lovesick fool. I rolled over, grabbed my phone from the nightstand, and smiled even wider when I saw his text from twenty minutes ago.Killian (7:42 a.m.): Morning, beautiful. Already miss the way you wrap yourself around me like your blanket. You’ve got this today.

Rae’s POVZara’s words hung in the air between us like a half-inflated balloon—full of promise one second, then suddenly sagging the next.“Uhhm… that’s where we have a problem,” she repeated, quieter this time. Her fingers twisted the straw wrapper into a tiny, nervous knot. The patio noise—clinking cups, distant laughter, a barista calling out an order—felt suddenly far away. All I could focus on was the way her shoulders had curled inward, like she was bracing for judgment.I leaned forward, elbows on the table, keeping my voice gentle.“What kind of problem?”She exhaled through her nose—long, shaky—and looked down at her hands.“He doesn’t like taking photos. Like… at all. Genuinely hates it.”I blinked.“Wait… that’s the problem?”She nodded quickly, eyes flicking up to mine then away again.“Yeah. I mean… I’ve asked. Multiple times. Casually at first—‘hey, send me a selfie so I can see that cute smile’—and then less casually. Like, ‘come on, just one picture together so I can

Rae’s POVThe car glided smoothly along the coastal road, windows cracked just enough to let in the warm salt breeze and the distant rhythm of waves. Killian drove with one hand on the wheel, the other resting casually on the gearshift—until, without a word, he slid it over and placed it on my thigh. His palm was warm, heavy, familiar. Fingers splayed wide, thumb stroking slow, absent arcs over the soft skin just above my knee. The cherry wine dress had ridden up slightly when I sat down; now his hand rested high enough that every gentle press sent tiny sparks racing up my spine.I turned my head—already smiling—and leaned across the console. My lips found the corner of his jaw first—soft, quick—then his cheek, then the edge of his mouth. A tiny peck. Another. He tilted his head just enough to meet me halfway, lips brushing mine in a fleeting, sweet kiss that tasted like mint and sunlight.“Eyes on the road, mister,” I teased against his mouth. He hummed—low, amused—but didn’t move

Rae’s POVThe blanket beneath us was impossibly soft—thick cotton layered with a plush throw that felt like sinking into a cloud. The canopy overhead fluttered gently in the breeze, dappling sunlight across Killian’s face and making the white gardenias glow like tiny stars. The picnic spread looked almost too beautiful to touch: chilled lobster tails arranged on a slate board with tiny forks and lemon wedges, a wooden tray of tropical fruit skewers—mango, pineapple, papaya, strawberries—glistening with dew, strawberry tartlets with glossy glaze, a bowl of whipped cream flecked with vanilla seeds, the rosé bottle sweating in its silver bucket, two chilled glasses already poured and waiting.Killian sat cross-legged behind me—legs bracketing mine so I could lean back against his chest. His arms came around my waist, chin resting lightly on my shoulder. Every breath he took lifted me with him. I felt loved. Cherished. Like the rest of the world had politely stepped out for the afternoo

Rae’s POVThe water was still lapping gently around our waists, warm and silky from the sun all day, but my body felt like it was on fire. Killian had me pressed against the smooth rock ledge at the shallow end of the natural pool—back to the stone, legs still wrapped around him, his cock buried so deep I could feel every heartbeat pulsing inside me. We’d barely caught our breath from the last round and already I was rocking my hips again—small, greedy circles that made him groan low against my throat.“Look at you,” he rasped, voice gravel-rough and thick with want. One hand was braced on the rock beside my head, the other gripping my ass hard enough to leave fingerprints. “Can’t get enough, can you? Such a naughty little girl… coming on my tongue, coming on my fingers, and still grinding on my cock like you haven’t been fucked in years.”I whimpered—half embarrassed, half desperate—clenching around him on purpose just to hear that choked sound he made.“Only for you,” I breathed.
