Days passed before Lucas visited Petra again. Alone this time. Hoping he would somehow move her, probably because she knows what's at stake now. Tessa had locked herself in her room for the past days, even refusing Ivy access to her. Sometimes, when he pressed his ears against her door, he would hear her reciting the spells, she would groan in frustration if it didn't work and squeal in excitement if it did. When Lucas arrived Petra's new apartment, she was waiting at the door for him, like she was expecting him. But when he enteredand sat down, the question she asked was no where near the one he had in mind. Petra sat across him, crossing her legs together. “You like my daughter?” She asked but her face bore the certainty of someone that was sure. “That's not why I came here.” Lucas muttered. “But you do like her right?” She pressed but Lucas remained silent. “So you do.” She chuckled. “Then why do I feel this weird tension between you guys, like she doesn't want to be near you,

The next day met Zeke taking over his duties, relieving Darius of the alpha duties. The pack visits, the clinic visits and everything, Zeke took them over. Darius smiled graciously, praising his recovery skills while his eyes darkened. Ivy walked behind Zeke now without any obstructions, Petra had made it clear that they should endeavor to stay together for the strength of the bind.Ivy dwelled in Enid's and Darius anger and disgrudge. She paraded herself in the pack and it was another scenerio when she went to the clinic. The staffs welcomed her warmly, a stark contrast to the way they treated Enid. The kids were already discharged but they all rushed down to the clinic when they heard she was visiting. She stayed with them, pulling Zeke over with her who had no choice but to follow. The kids were thrilled to see her and complained about the fact that they were unable to see her more frequently as before. She told them it was a good development as it proved they were free from the

When they arrived Zeke's chambers, Lucas placed Tessa on the bed and began pacing around the room. “She's not dying, man. She's just in a vision, seeing something. Put your mind at ease.” Zeke pointed out. Lucas nodded in understanding and sat beside ivy. A gasp echoed over the room as Tessa shot up, awake, from the bed. “Tessa.” Ivy and Lucas called, moving over to her. “What did you see?” Zeke asked.Ivy winced and turned to Zeke, ready to reprimand him. “That's not….”“Your men.” Tessa's panicked voice cut through. “Your men at the borders.” She emphasized. “They are not yours. They work for Darius and he would be going there tonight for some reasons I couldn't quite catch.” Tessa explained. “We should leave for Petra's house now.” She said, her voice coming out as an order. “Why?” Lucas asked. “She's either in danger or she saw the clear vision. But we need to meet her. Something is not adding up with her.” She panted. “Prepare the car.” Zeke instructed. When they arrive

The order was immediate, immediately they returned to the pack house. A full fledged investigation was carried on secretly on the Enid's delegate, the one Tessa has flagged. Darius was yet to make a move. He had returned to the pack, composed and calm, like he had just gone for a walk but he allowed his eyes linger on Tessa in ways everyone saw. The investigation was quick and controlled, Zeke's trusted spies were stationed close to him. He was followed into the dark when he think he's alone. And soon, results shows. Zeke called the team to his chambers and present what his men had found. The delegate was using a telephone and it was easily intercepted. The interception proved fruitful and useful as the messages was tracked to a distant, external pack. A different pack, farther in the north. That was when it dawned on them, Darius had alliances. Strong alliances that are capable of taking over BloodCraw Pack if they so wishes. The content of the interception confirms their suspici

Morning came earlier than ivy wanted. She dragged herself out of the bed and got ready. Tessa's apartment was her first stop and when she arrived there, she met Lucas waiting outside. Lucas's lips moved when he saw her approaching. “You should probably leave her for some time till she's stable.” Ivy advised.“I just wanted to check up on her.” He said and shrugged. “Your presence is the last thing she would want now.” “Ivy.” Lucas walked closer, his voice dropping for a moment. “Do you know what I did. Where I went wrong?” He asked. “It's not in my position to say.” Ivy replied, she still couldn't see Lucas doing something like that. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding. “But Tessa would come around, she always does and when she do, you can talk to her.” Lucas nodded and bit down lightly on his lips before walking away. Ivy sighed roughly and knocked on the door. The door opened immediately like Tessa had been there all along, like she had been waiting, listening. Her eyes were
