Lahat ng Kabanata ng Oops! Still Your Mate : Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

The hall went silent, waiting for the Alpha to speak up. They could vaguely sense the reason for the meeting and they had braced their minds for what was to come. Alpha Zeke cleared his throat. The crowd tensed up. Dozens of ears perked up, every gaze shifting between the towering Alpha and the woman standing before him. Her auburn hair cascaded in waves down her back, her chin raised in quiet defiance. “I, Alpha Zeke of the Bloodcraw pack, reject you Ivy Hale as my mate” The words fell like a stone into still water. All eyes turned to her, some with pity, others with disdain and most with curiosity. They knew what would happen next, the pleas, the cries and when the Alpha remains unmoved, she would reluctantly accept the rejection. That's what they all do. What they did not expect was her reaction. She went silent. And then she blinked. Once. Twice. And smiled - the kind that tug at her lips in amusement. A ripple of unease swept through the hall, it wasn't supposed to be th

The morning was too bright, too bright for her mood. The morning air was crisp and the warm light filtered in though the wooden window. The resounding knocks on the door woke her up and she let out a tired yawn. “Come in,” She replied, still half-asleep. The door burst open and Tessa walked in, sunshine and chaos. “Still in bed?” She asked, plopping beside her with a grin that could light up the entire room. “What made you so happy this morning?” Ivy raised an eyebrow, her voice muffled as she buried her face in her pillow. “You” Tessa pointed at her. “Me?” Ivy yawned again, unimpressed “Tired?” Tessa said, a teasing smile playing on her lips. “You're acting weird today” Ivy observed. “I saw you last night” Tessa smiled. “Where?” Ivy's sleepy eyes peeled open “With… Your Alpha” Tessa teased and Ivy chuckled. Ivy groaned, throwing a pillow at her. “I was just passing by!”“I know” Tessa sang, dodging the pillow. “Crazy girl! What on earth are you thinking?” “Hey, I'm inn

“Fuck Zeke” Ivy's strained voice cut through the air, sweat trickling down her temples as she scrubbed at the pile of shirts stacked beside the wooden basin. Her arms burned, her palms were raw, and the water - already murky from soap and dirt - sloshed against her wrists like it mocked her. The scent of sweat, iron and Zeke's musky cologne clung to the fabric. She groaned. “Even his damn clothes smell so arrogant” “Hey girl, love the scent of his clothes” She heard the super annoying voice. Tessa. Ivy dropped the clothes back into the basin with a wet slap “What are you doing here?” She turned her head to her. “I've been looking for you” Tessa said, crouching beside her with that grin that could make anyone suspicious “Went to the greenhouse but Mika said she had no idea where you are. Got the news from Lucas” Ivy sighed. “See more reasons why you should have accepted the rejection” Tessa teased. “No” Ivy replied almost immediately. “Seeing more reasons not to accept it. Zeke'

The door swung open, almost breaking it out of it's position. “Grandma,” She gasped, eyes blurring with tears. “Ivy” Grandma took slow but steady steps towards her before engulfing her in her embrace “Child” She sniffed. Ivy retreated from the embrace after a moment, forcing out a smile. “It's okay to cry Ivy, you can't be strong everytime,” “My parents.” Grandma froze. “What are you not telling me about them?” She asked. “What did you hear?” Her grandmother's fragile voice flew into her ears. “That's not what I asked?” She yelled making the old woman flinch slightly. “Ivy, you have to calm down. What happened to you?” “She's hiding it from you” “She knows the truth and refused to tell you” Those were the words that echoed in her ears as she took predatory steps towards her grandmother. “Your wolf” Grandma breathed out. “Yes my Wolf. She's out” Ivy smirked, coming closer to the the trembling woman. “Ivy, it's your wolf talking. This isn't you” “Well, you're

The stench that hit Zeke when he walked him almost made him gag over. “What's this?” He asked baffled. The pack doctor walked over to him, a grave expression on his face. “Alpha” He gave a small bow. “Explain this to me,” Zeke demanded. “It's….” He heaved a sigh “Howling rot” He said, his voice hoarse and low. Zeke's eyes widened slightly and he clenched his hands as he turned to Lucas who mirrored the same expression. “Who are the victims?” “Mostly pups” The doctor said. “Let me see the kids” Zeke demanded. “Alpha, I'm afraid…” “Let me see the kids” Zeke roared, his eyes quickly turning red. “I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Let's go” The doctor gasped and quickly led the way. The harsh smell hit him instantly and he took a step back, his eyes roaming the hall. Pups were tied in chains, howls echoed across the pack house, threatening to pull it down. “This is bad” He heard Lucas mutter beside him. His eyes blurred as he looked away. “Mate” He heard his wolf growl. “Be quiet” He
