Lahat ng Kabanata ng Luna Of The Lost Bloodline : Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

Freya’s POVAs Kane and I set off on a quest that would alter everything, the wind howled through the trees. We knew exactly what we had to do: gather the packs, bring them together, and confront Korrin's dark army before it was too late. I couldn't get rid of the impression that we were being watched, though, even though our work was urgent; it seemed like shadows were getting closer with every step we took."We must move quickly," Kane stated in a steady yet worried tone. "Korrin's forces get stronger the longer we wait."Feeling the impact of what he had spoken, I nodded. There was not much time left. However, I wasn't simply concerned about Korrin. Others would attack us packs because they had long-standing animosities and would never voluntarily get together.I tried to sound more assured than I was when I said, "We'll make it." "There is nothing we can do."In my heart, though, I wasn't sure.Rallying the packs proved to be more difficult than I had anticipated. It was challengi

Freya's POVAs Kane and I faced Korrin—the very adversary we had been training to defeat—tension was high in the air. I felt a chill run down my spine as his icy, black eyes met mine. Despite my heart thumping in my chest, I remained strong. We had been dreading this moment."Freya, you've made a mistake," Korrin remarked in a cold voice. "You are too late."His army was waiting behind him, their eyes blazing with the prospect of devastation. I wasn't going to give up, though. Not right now."Not yet," I stated in a firm voice. "We're not done yet, even though you have us cornered."A smile curved Korrin's lips. "Are you sure you can win this? Simply put, you're a girl who has too much power for herself.Ignoring the pain of his words, I took a step forward. "You're not correct. I have something you'll never comprehend, and I'm not alone.Beside me, Kane snarled, his defensive posture unflinching. However, something unforeseen occurred before we could decide how to proceed. A deep gr

Freya’s POVAs I stood facing the adversary, I could feel the heavy strain in the air bearing down on my chest. The only thing I could hear on the eerily quiet battlefield was the thundering of my heartbeat.Alexis had a sly smirk on her lips as she stood across from me. Her army of shadows was ready, and her eyes gleamed with ill intent. They were anticipating her cue.I tried to steady my breathing by clenching my fists at my sides. This was it, I knew. This was the last test, the one when I would demonstrate my ability to fight back or whether the weight of all that had transpired would cause me to collapse."You think you can stop me?" Alexis snarled her voice like a knife piercing the quiet. "Freya, you are nothing. You've always been.I inhaled deeply, attempting to ignore the pain of what she had said. She desired to shatter me. She aimed to cast doubt on me. I wouldn't allow her, though. Not right now. With a firm voice, I answered, "Alexis, I don't need your approval." "I’m n

Freya’s POVThe air around me was heavy with the weight of the fight, and the ground under me felt shaky. Even though Korrin's forces had been driven back, I still got the uneasy feeling that something was seriously off. Even Kane appeared apprehensive as he stood next to me and looked around the battlefield."What's happening, Freya?" With a worried tone in his voice, he asked softly.I shook my head to concentrate. "I'm not sure... We've missed something, I think. As if there were more to this than the war alone. Then, abruptly, a harsh, piercing voice pierced through the confusion. Freya, you're right. This is much more complicated.Korrin was standing in the distance when I turned around. I felt cold just being around him. My heart raced at the sight of his icy smile."Korrin, what do you want?" Trying not to show my dread in my voice, I demanded. His dark magic swirled around him like a hurricane as he took a step forward. "Freya, I'm not here to fight. I'm here to tell you the r

Freya’s POVEven more unsettling than the actual combat was the silence following the storm. Those who had promised to fight beside us were all around me as I stood in the conference hall. Every hushed chat seemed to be carrying the weight of the entire world, and the atmosphere was thick with stress. Beside me, Kane was studying the chart that was laid out on the table, his face unreadable. With a steady yet sombre tone, he stated, "We'll need to divide our forces." Korrin anticipates a full-front attack. We may surprise him if we attack from several directions.I nodded, but Eldra's cryptic warnings and Rian's treachery were still weighing heavily on my thoughts. "We must exercise caution. He will take advantage of the fact that he knows we will pursue him.Kane looked around at the leaders of our allies gathered and said, "We don't have much time." "We'll need scouts to keep an eye out for any traps, but Freya and I will lead the main charge."A young warrior called Callen voluntee
