I went from actively trying to avoid him to being stuck in the same car with him for hours then to sitting across the table from each other having lunch. Why was it so hard to escape him?“You should eat something, you have been out the whole day” he said, switching my plate to his which he had already cut the steak into bite-sized pieces.I just stared down at the plate but didn't take a bite, food was the least of my problems.“I understand you are angry at me and you hate me but just eat, I haven't seen you eat since the accident” he saidI didn't hate him, at least I couldn't. Regardless of how he came into my life, he did change my life for the better and has helped me and continues to do so. That wasn't something I was going to throw out the window. All I didn't like was how blindsided I was in the whole thing. I didn't like the feeling at all, especially from someone I thought I could trust with my life.I looked directly at the restaurant door watching people walk in, so that

I ran out of the car when it came to a stop in front of the hospital. Jack was pacing around like he had been waiting for a while.“How is he?” I asked“Did they say he is fine?”“Can I see him now?” I threw different questions at him“Yes, let’s go” he grabbed my hand and we both rushed to the ward. He let go of my hand when we came to the door. This time there was no one stopping me from going in, I was only asked to wash my hands, which I did.The doctor stepped out of the way and I walked in. He was curled on the bed. I didn’t carry him in my arms instead, I quietly lay beside him, he grabbed one of his fingers and squeezed it tightly like he could feel my presence. I couldn’t hold back my tears anymore and let out silent sobs, I didn’t want to disturb him. He looked tired and kept drifting in and out of sleep. I could watch his tiny face.Rickon walked in and just stood beside me. He didn’t say a word, but he was trying to comfort me in silence and that was all I needed. At some

AXELFor the first time since Rae showed up at my office door changing the whole trajectory of my life in the space of days, I hadn't stepped foot back in the office that was the first time I was returning there because I had a board meeting to attend.I was drained and mentally not in the right headspace. There was my father and mother on my neck, by all means they wanted to take the child from Rae and have custody over the child. Once we got news that he was awake my mom dragged me along with her to not only threaten her but to issue her a court document threatening that the child would be taken away for good if she didn't give up custody. I didn't agree with going about it that way but I didn't have a say.She laughed in my face when I proposed marriage to her but I meant it. She might be mad and claim that she hated me but the world isn't fair to single mothers, no one should be that willing to be one.We should be a family the three of us. Start on a clean slate as I offered. I

AXELThe more I tried to do something about the whole mess going on, the worse it got. I never knew the company was linked to several shell companies, I also found out that my mom’s store was used in laundering money. I never knew about tax evasion or whatnot just because my father refused to let me in on the shit that went on in the damn company I was running. I had the prosecution and fucking reporters lurking around me following every step I took so I couldn't go see my father and pour out my frustration. When I got the news from my secretary and rushed over there, fucking blogs were already dropping speculations about why my mom and I showed up at the hospital. My statement was made to ‘clear’ things up and assure the public but that didn't do shit.In addition to the evasion, the main factory caught fire. It wasn't burnt down which would have maybe been a better option because it was locked up by the authorities claiming it had been put under investigation for an expired fire ce
