Sabrina. " So, yeah, your Alpha and I have been at it for days, weeks, and do you know what's funny?" I asked, mischief dancing in my eyes. " We can't seem to get enough of each other, dear Amery. " I whispered, taking great pleasure in how tormented she looked. In the past, when I had no power, when I used to be weak and pathetic, she bullied me. But now, as a powerful warrior and with the Luna's crown atop my head, of course, there was no way I was going to let her bully me again. If anything, for every single pain that she caused me, I was going to make her suffer thrice, quadruple, I didn't care as long as it eased the anger in my heart. Besides, she had hired people to molest me, to r*pe me in the past, and that trauma was still in my heart. Restraint? Hell no. I didn't have as much self-control as Ivy praised me for. The main reason I had been unable to allow Rhys to go all the way through was connected to the almost r*ped incident. The trauma was still ra

Sabrina. True to my suspicions, the milk that Nanny Tia gave me was laced with sleeping pills, a lot of them, and just a few seconds after gulping the contents, my eyelids felt heavy and after flashing her a grateful smile, I made my way to our bedroom... It was not around noon the other day that I woke up, and to be frank, drinking that milk was the best decision I had ever made in my entire life. I woke up feeling better, refreshed, and my mental energy was a par stronger. I even had the energy to push away the thought concerning Rhys and Amery that tried to creep into my mind the moment I woke up. The other night, I almost lost my mind from those tormenting thoughts. I refused to go back there. I refused to centre my life around someone so much that life would feel worthless without them. That kind of love wasn't healthy. It was even worse than living in hell. With those thoughts in mind, I took a shower, dressed up, and went to the dining room where Nanny Tia ha

Sabrina. "You already know that we are enemies. " " You already know how much I hate you. Drop the act and get to business." " Why did you call me here?" I asked, and before he could respond, Amanda was already standing before me, her entire body radiating with anger as she looked at me. " This is for hurting my daughter. " She stated, raising her hand to slap me, and I almost laughed. What was their obsession with slapping me anyway? "What makes you think you can slap me, Amanda? Who are you? Try that again and they will be nursing your wounds, just like they are nursing your daughters. " I warned, flagging her hand away. " Is that how you were raised? To speak back to your elders? " " Did your useless mother teach you any manners?" She asked, coldly, her tone filled with disdain, and something cracked in me. Useless mother. Useless mother. She dared call my late Mom useless. So casually, like it was the correct address for her. I totally lost my sen

Sabrina. " Since you are done acting, I will be on my way," I whispered, forcing a smile, a desperate attempt to show them that I was still not scared, although, deep down, I was scared. I was in the house, with those who used to be my family. Even my shadows wouldn't think that something could go wrong in here. It was still my house, after all. And the reason Ford and his family could be so brazen was that no one would suspect anything. " Not so fast, Sabrina. " Fords reminded, a sardonic smile playing on his lips. He was taking measured steps towards me. "We are not done with you, yet. Who said you can walk away?" He asked, still smiling and by then, with their true motives hidden, I was terrified, especially when I recalled Ivy's distressed call via the mindlink. "I mean, you will still walk away, but not with your pride and dignity intact." He whispered that to my ears, his cold voice sending fear all the way to my spine. " We managed to break you once, we

Sabrina. " Thank heavens you are out!" " I was about to call your godparents!" I had just sneaked out of the house when I came face-to-face with Ivy. She stood right outside the back door, and when she saw me, her face lit up with relief. It was like she could finally breathe. " What the hell took you so long? I already saw those cunning foxes! And I knew they were up to no good." She didn't even give me the time to breathe before she started bombarding me with questions. And true to my expectations, she didn't fall for their backward schemes. Ivy was the true description of a princess, after all. Always thinking ahead, ever so adept, agile, and compared to her, I seemed to have a lot to learn. " Nothing much. They brought four rongues to entertain me while their princess recorded." I answered nonchalantly, and in an instant, Ivy's gossip mode was activated. "Tell me about it!" She urged as she pulled me towards the exit, and slowly, I narrated everything that ha
