Sabrina. " Sabrina? We have always wanted the best for you. So, naturally, we would support anything that makes you happy." My godfather expressed, looking greatly troubled.. " Your father's death might not have been as simple as it looked. We have a feeling that your mother knew, too." " Maybe that's why she accepted the invitation to fight for the kingdom as a warrior back then." He added, his gaze strained to the distance. And I fell into a stupor as the past resurfaced in my mind. She had never liked the werewolf royals. She never wanted to have anything to do with them. She had even told me to stay away from anything connected to them. Then, she became the Queen of the battlefield. She'd led our pack into victory against three rogue packs. Then the royal invitation came. She got a summon. She was supposed to join the battle in defending the kingdom against an invasion by the Dragons. She'd accepted the invitation, fought, worn, and brought a trophy home. For a whil

Sabrina. " The people who opposed your parents' union were the closer kins." He whispered, tremors of something deeper accompanying his words. I could also see the deep-rooted bitterness simmering at the surface of his eyes. The story was deeper, it seemed. " Your parents were fated mates. But their union was highly opposed. They thought that she deserved better. In their opinion, a princess deserved to marry a person of equal status, not a warrior. " He added, his voice deep, his look meaningful as it held mine. Someone better! Not a mere warrior! Those words had me clenching my fists. " Your Mom was stubborn. She opposed them and went ahead and mated with him.." " On the surface, they seemed to have given up." He added, his gaze strained to the distance. " They gave them their blessings. They threw in the best wedding, ever. Diamonds and golds, bright lights, slow music, expensive wines, and vibes." " The bride and groom were happy, relaxed, grateful, looking forward

Sabrina. At Rhys' link, my wolf bristled at the back of my mind, and for some reason, she was jumpy and uncomfortable. After days of disappearing, my mate, soon to be ex-mate, was finally back in the pack, and the first thing he did? He sent me a mindlink, summoning me, not to the office, not to our chambers, but to the Lead warrior's villa. He was probably there, glued to Amery, lips almost locking. I had decided to let go, but the thought of him being with her had my blood boiling and anger burning through my veins. The walk from the pack's diner to the place that used to be my home passed in a blur. I was deep in thoughts, my thoughts all over, and yet, I couldn't even tell you what I was thinking about. I guess he had sensed me through my scent because even before I could knock on the door, I heard it, his deep and think voice, the one that used to have goosebumps lining my skin, whenever he spoke, now, it only had my stomach churning. ' Come in.' Cold and cli

Sabrina. " Amery, Amanda, " I opened my mouth, and yet, I didn't get to finish what I was about to say. Amery interrupted me, her voice all smug, with a cold smirk hanging on her lips.. " An apology is okay." She stated, smiling casually as she admired her well-manicured nails, recently done, the faint red Polish shining subtly against the lights. " But it has to be sincere, right?" She asked before she turned to face Rhys, as if she was asking for his approval. He gave a curt nod, and her smirk widened, a victorious glint glazing her eyes as she steered back to me. I instinctively clenched my fingers, wishing for the pain to keep me grounded, to stop me from doing something I would probably regret. Because all I wanted was to shove my claws into her throat and replace that smile with fear instead. Hell, it wasn't just her that I wanted to kill. I so badly wanted to kill Rhys that I had to glance away from him. Locking gazes with him would have my anger spiralling.

Sabrina. " The Alpha King will come for us early the next day. Something happened." Ivy mouthed, dragging me with her, and I had to stop in a moment just to process her words. Initially, I had three days till the royal summons. And now, it was reduced to one? Then there was the urgency in her voice, as if the situation was way worse than she was letting on. That, coupled with the fact that it was the Alpha King who would come to pick us up, of all the people, had dread coiling up in my gut. "You are bleeding out, Sabrina. If we don't get it stitched, it might paralyse your arm!" There was barely controlled anger in Ivy's voice as she warned, and before I could react, she dragged me along.. Yes. The wound was pretty deep, and although my wolf was trying to heal it, it was slow, and the blood was still dripping. By then, my vision was already blurry, and I had no energy left to argue with her, I just allowed her to take me to the hospital. The pack's hospital wasn't l
