Rhys. " Please, help me," She whispered, her voice laced with unmasked desires. By then, her arms were already wrapped around my neck, and when she spoke, her hot breath fanned my skin.. That scene .. It was so familiar that it had me tightly clenching my fingers as I remembered the night when I took Sabrina's first. The events were almost similar. Back then, her skin was flushed hot.. Her lips had been red and swollen, from being bitten while she tried to stubbornly fight the currents of nature, our nature, the mate's heat. From just looking at her, you could see. She had barely been holding on. And yet, she hadn't even begged. Even when everything was about to drown her, even when she had been a few seconds from completely burning under the heat, she hadn't brought herself to beg. Her pride had been intact, and so wad her self-essteem. That was Sabrina. My Sabrina. She was naturally stubborn. She would rather die than cover, than sell her dignity. And yet,

Rhys. "It's fine if you don't like me." She whispered. " I like me a hard chase...." She added, a proud gleam glazing her eyes. Looking at her, then trying to search for that she-wolf I had seen around Sabrina for the past few months, I was honestly lost for words. How could someone change so much? One second, she was Sabrina's best friend. And in the other, she was here, seducing her mate. Goodness! I felt disgusted to the very bones, and looking at her, and trying to imagine the pain that her possible betrayal had caused Sabrina, I had an impulsive urgge to choke her to her death, but again, I held myself. She was a princess... not to add, I didn't have all he facts right. She could be testing me, or she could be serious, too. It was just hard to tell. And yet, one thing stood out, the hatred that simmered in her eyes when she talked about Sabrina, and the lust that gleamed in her orbs when she looked at me. That couldn't be feigned. " If the success comes too

Rhys. " You might have to assume a new identity." The former Queen declared, now pacing back and forth in the room.. At her words, think tension materialised in the room, and while I was clearly concerned, I remained quiet, giving her time to think. She understood the palace, and it's people better than I did. If she said my Theus identity was under jeopardy, then I had no choice but to believe her.. " Your uncle Jake will help train you.." The silence was broken by her words, and for a moment, I fell into a daze. So, it was true, then. Even when Jake had called himself my uncle, I hadn't believed him. Simply because it could have been a lie. He had buried his dagger into my abdomen a while ago, and he said it was a test. Why why would I believe him when he said he was my Dad's younger brother? That could have been another test, too. To check my levels of trust, maybe? But now, after Queen Rosa's confirmation, I had no choice but to accept the fact that Jake reall

Rhys. If it was earlier, I would have started celebrating. But now, as I looked at the clearing, something different from the hell that I had been trapped into, I remained unmoved. I had been there before. Harbourig hopes only to be disappointed later on. I didn't want to go there. I instead channelled the little energy into moving. I dragged my legs, and the blisters burned from the movements. I would get out of there, even if it meant through crawling. The further I walked, the clearer it got.. To the point that the temperatures started going down, slowly, bit by bit. The chill that hit my skin was like a breath of fresh air, and for a brief second, I stopped, just to catch my breath, but the fear of what I had left behind possibly catching up with me couldn't allow me to rest. I walked, untill the air evened out, until I could finally breathe, not the fire I had been breathing a while ago, but real breathe. For a moment, a fleeting feeling a safety t

Rhys. "You mate her?" He asked, shock painting his features, and although I had felt the strength and power that had radiated off Mona, I couldn't understand Jake's big reaction. " Yes. " I responded, slightly dazed as I tried to gauge his reaction. Did I see longing? Jealous, in Jake's eyes? No. I thought my eyes were playing a trick on me. So, I rubbed them, and yet, when our eyes met, I saw it, Jealous so raw it couldn't be masked. Well, it didn't look like he was trying to hide it either..Especially when he was staring at me as if I had stolen his favourite candy. " You lucky fool!" He snapped, a few seconds from smacking me on the face, and to that, I simply raised my brows. Lucky and fool in the same line? only Jake could pull such a combo and still brood.. " That's your grandmother, you fool!" He added, and surprise and shock, all at once contoured my features. My grandmother? Mona was my grandmother? " You mean, she is my grandmother?" I found myself
