Minutes later, a sleek Bentley glides up to the small house. My breath catches. The driver, impeccably dressed, steps out and opens the door for Noah. A different moving van, massive and gleaming, pulls up behind the luxury car. Movers swarm out, unloading pristine, luxurious furniture, still wrapped in plastic, and carrying it inside. It doesn’t work. All that luxury in a neighbourhood like this one seems out of place.Noah abruptly looks up, his gaze finding mine in an instant.
