Kael stirred slowly on the soft, warm bed as a faint, low groan escaped his lips as he shifted on the bed.His brows became knitted together when an instant dull, persistent ache pulsed through his head, spreading from his temples to the back of his skull.For a few seconds, he remained still, eyes still closed as he tried to steady his breathing and gather himself, but the discomfort– the pain refused to fade.
