Elisa's pov I dragged my feet on the burning hot coal, grunting with every step I took. The man leading me tugged on the chains around my neck. "Move it. You brought this upon yourself." I bit back a snarky reply and kept my head down as I continued moving. When I reached the end of the burning coal, I collapsed to the floor. My knees giving out beneath me. John scoffed. He commanded and soon two men were by my side pulling me to my feet harshly. I didn't try to fight as they pulled me away. I didn't have the strength to. I hadn't eaten or drank anything all week as my punishment. I coughed up blood, splashes of it landing on one of the men. Elisa's pov When I opened my eyes I was laying on the cold floor in the middle of the room. I slowly sat up and looked down. I was naked. I looked around the room, at the girls all backed into several corners naked as well. Some of them were hugging their friends for warmth and others were sobbing. I spotted Joanne in the farthest corner. I got up and moved closer to the wall. I hugged my knees to my chest and waited. That was all I could do. Wait. Everyone here was chosen as a player for the hunt. The hunt was something werewolves came up with. They'd send us into the forest and those that survive being killed and bring back plenty of kills would be eligible to be chosen. I'd played the game when I was 15 but it was merely a blur in my memory. The door unlocked and a guard walked in with a bag. "Stand in a line." He commanded. The girls quickly shuffled to their feet, eager to eat but I couldn't care less. "Elisa!" He barked. I grudgingly got up and stood at the back.

Elisa's pov I waited for the pain to come but I felt nothing. A warm liquid splashed on my face and I slowly opened my eyes. I gasped at the horrendous sight in front of me. The knife was stuck in Joanne's neck-blood oozing out from it. I pushed her away and quickly scrambled to my feet. My eyes met her lifeless ones and it was as if I could still hear her- still feel her mocking me. Why didn't she stab me. "Well that was some twist." John said.
