Olivia's POV On arriving at the event center, Christian murmured softly, “Will you be fine? Are you certain you want me to head to work? You know I can drop everything for you. Forget that, I’d rather stay and cheer you on.” I shot him a playful glare. “No, Mr. Hayes, I know how hard you’ve been striving to create time for us. After this contest, don’t forget we’re still going on vacation, so you don’t need to worry about me,” I assured, brushing a kiss against his lips. Yet hesitation lingered in his eyes. A heavy sigh escaped my lips. “Don’t worry, Jenna is here to support me. Damn, Christian, you’re sulking like a child,” I teased with a pout. He leaned closer, kissed me tenderly, and promised, “I love you. I’ll try to finish early and get here.” I chuckled softly and nodded. “Yeah, no problem. I’ll be waiting, but for now I have to go,” I said, turning to leave. Casting one last glance at Christian while waving, I walked into the venue. People were already gathered.
