Semua Bab THE TRIBID HOCKEY GOD & HIS OBSESSION: Bab 151 - Bab 160

EVELESSA "No! God no..."I feel a sudden disconnection and my heart breaks.A wolf pack... slaughtered.Every last one.Men, women and children. All gone. And the name whispered with it burns like poison in my chest.Thalrion.I stand still in the middle of the war room, my fingers pressed against the cold edge of the table. Maps are spread out beneath my hands, territories marked in ink and magic, alliances and borders that mean very little now because Thalrion has crossed a line.A dangerous one.Cassain stands near the window, arms crossed, his wolf barely contained beneath his skin. I can feel his fury almost as strongly as my own."They refused him," the messenger repeats quietly."And he killed them all."That's how Thalrion works. He believes power belongs to whoever terrifies the world the most.Unfortunately for him, he's not the only one who understands power.I slowly straighten. The room grows colder as the ocean inside me begins to rise."Where?" I ask.The messenger swa

CASSAIN Evelessa is curled into the couch beside me, flipping through some documents she claims are "boring political nonsense," which means they are definitely important. She looks peaceful for once and I wish I could keep her at peace forever until the front door opens and Alexander steps inside and I smell blood.Someone else's.A lot of it.My wolf rises under my skin instantly.Evelessa notices it too.Her head lifts slowly."Alexander?"He closes the door behind him quietly.Aretha steps in behind him.She looks shaken. My heart drops.Evelessa stands up immediately."What happened?"Alexander runs a hand through his hair. His knuckles are bruised. His shirt sleeve is torn. And there are drops of blood on his collar."Nothing," he says.Which is the worst possible answer he could give his mother.Evelessa folds her arms."Try again."Alexander sighs.Aretha shifts nervously beside him."I got kidnapped," she blurts.Silence falls over the room. The temperature drops about ten d

ALEXANDER I'm in the mood for violence. The campus is quiet. Most students are inside, pretending life is normal.Meanwhile, somewhere out there, a war is slowly stretching its fingers toward us.Cute.I shove my hands into my pockets and stroll across the empty courtyard, dragging my steps just enough to look relaxed.Unbothered.Careless.It's not an act.Well... not entirely but I want them to think it is because if someone's watching, and I know someone isI want them to feel confident and careless, believing I do not see them already so they'd be even more wreckless. I step into the darker path behind the library and the shadows shift.I don't stop walking."Alright," I mutter under my breath."Let's get this over with. Just come out already. You've been acting like bodyguards for so long just come out for your payment."A figure drops behind me.Another in front. Two more to my left and right.Four.There they are.A slow smile pulls at my lips."Wow," I say, clapping once sof

CASSAIN I've been to more funerals than I can count.War does that to you.It teaches you how to stand still while the world caves in around someone else. How to keep your face blank while grief claws its way through a room, looking for somewhere to land. How to pretend that death is... expected. It's all lies.Every single time. The cemetery is quiet. We discovered Hall's body displayed at the entrance of the campus and the whole school had been thrown into a state of panic.I stand at the back at his funeral. Just... not in the center. This isn't my grief to claim. But that doesn't mean it doesn't sit heavy in my chest anyway.Detective Hall's coffin rests at the front.Thalrion didn't just kill him.He made a statement. We're all here to read it.People gather slowly.Humans.Colleagues.Family.Friends.All dressed in black like that somehow makes death more respectful.More acceptable. It doesn't.It just makes everything look colder. Then she arrives. His wife.Everything shif

EVELESSA Cameras flash in rapid bursts, the crowd a blur of faces and expectation as I step onto the stage. I'm no longer Evelessa. My hips sway with practiced precision, each step concise, and flawless. The fabric draped over my body is barely there; black silk cut into something daring, sharp lines hugging curves like it was made for me and only me. Maybe it was. The crowd loves it. I put on a big smile and wave to the crowd. Something shifts above. My gaze flicks upwards and I see a lighting board about to fall but I don't stop walking because stopping means panicking which ultimately gets people killed. I calculate distance. Impact. Angle. Timing. Three seconds. I could move. Of course I could. But the people near the stage? They won't be fast enough. So I shift slightly. Ready to catch it. Ready to take the hit. A force slams into me from the side. I'm off balance for exactly half a second before I correct, my body twisting mid-fall but I don't hit the grou
