As Mia walked out of the doctor's office, she felt a heavy weight of sadness on her young shoulders. He had informed her that the new director of the hospital was no longer okay with the monthly payment plan that they had given her before. They claimed that it was not sustainable to have her pay just twenty percent of what she owed each month while her bill continued to pile up. Over the past year, her sister's medical bill had been increasing tremendously due to how severe her case became over time. And she already owed Big Pa a huge amount of money. The girls spent the rest of the night in fear and anticipation.
