(Author’s POV)Aurora and Ivy walked back to Aurora’s room after breakfast, their steps unhurried, light. Ivy stayed close to her side, not clinging now, but comfortable, as if she instinctively knew where safety lived. The hallway was quiet, sunlight spilling through tall windows, painting the marble floor with warm gold.As soon as they entered the room, Ivy pointed toward the washroom.“I’ll just… freshen up” She said softly.“Go ahead. Take your time” Aurora smiled. Ivy nodded and disappeared inside, closing the door gently behind her.Aurora had just begun tidying the bedcovers when her phone rang.
