Chapter 102Drew’s POVIt took everything in me not to turn back and look at her as she passed me or even acknowledge her presence when our eyes met.If I had known this was the restaurant she was in, I would have gone somewhere else.I wouldn’t say I was avoiding her… no. I just decided to give her some space after everything that happened in Las Vegas. Her words… they broke something in me. I had always thought of Harry as someone who had a great effect on Alia and the kids. I saw how they reacted when he was around them, how she trusted him… but hearing her accept that Harry was a father figure and even go as far as comparing me to him and wishing he was the one who turned out to be the kids’ father…That broke the camel’s back.I’ve had sleepless nights since I got back. Even when I manage to sleep, I see Harry in my dreams… posing as Liam and Luna’s father. It was a nightmare for me.“Drew.”The lady in front of me tapped my hand lightly.I blinked and looked at her. “Yes?”“I’ve

Chapter 104Harry’s POVEarlier today, I had gone to Alia’s office to check up on her, but also to tell her I wanted to take her out for dinner.Ever since we got to Seattle, a lot has been happening, and I haven’t had the chance to tell Alia how I feel. Now that things were slowly coming back to normal, it was time to tell her how I truly feel about her.And with Drew’s funny behavior recently, I don’t know what his plans are with Alia and the kids.I didn’t need a psychic to tell me Drew hated me. And honestly, I didn’t mind. The feeling is mutual. After everything he put Alia through, I wanted him far away from her.I can see how working with Drew weighs Alia down, despite her acting tough. If there were a way I could take it off her shoulders, I would. But she has insisted on handling things on her own.And I have to respect that.I parked in front of Alia’s house and checked my watch.8pm.Right on time.I took a deep breath and stayed a few seconds in the car, my hand resting on

Chapter 106Harry and I agreed not to make things awkward after his confession tonight, and that was such a relief to me. I loved how things were with us, and I wouldn’t want to jeopardize that.I opened the door and got in. Harry had just dropped me off, and right now I needed to sleep. I was feeling tipsy from the wine I drank.Everywhere was quiet. Everyone must have gone to bed.I opened Liam and Luna’s door and checked on them. They were sound asleep, their little bodies curled under the blanket.I proceeded to my room. I yawned as I walked in, rubbing my eyes. I turned on the light—“How did it go?”“Jesus Christ, Alice!” I held my chest. “You scared me!”“Sorry…” she stood up from my bed where she had been sitting, a guilty smile on her face.“Why were you sitting in the dark? I almost thought I saw a ghost.”“Don’t be dramatic, Alia,” she laughed, holding my hands. “Girl, you slayed this dress.” She spun me around.“Thank you…” I removed my heels and tossed them aside as I sat

Chapter 108 “Drew, how did you even get this report… I thought I trashed it long ago?”“One of the maids was doing some cleaning in your room,” he replied in a low tone.“Old room,” I corrected him sharply.“Well… she found an envelope at the back of the wardrobe and gave it to me.”Shit.I had been looking for that report. I remember ransacking my room, turning everything upside down, and still not finding it. I just told myself maybe I threw it away. And all this time… it was there. Hidden.Waiting.“Hmmm… Drew, I don’t think this should be a big deal. It’s all in the past… and I don’t owe you an explanation.”I walked past him.But he moved fast, stepping right in front of me, blocking my path.“For you it might not be a big deal,” his voice was tight, strained, “but I’m about to lose my mind right now.”He raised the paper slightly, his hand shaking.“I just found out—” he pointed at my name on the report, his jaw clenching, “you were the one who donated blood when I almost died

Chapter 110“Alia”Drew held my shoulders, shaking me, but all I could see was my kids’ faces.Tears dropped from my eyes freely.I held my chest, it was getting harder to breathe.“Breathe, Alia… breathe,” Drew pulled me into a tight hug, patting my back. “Just breathe…”I breathed in… and out… but it felt like my lungs were closing up.He held my face, forcing me to look at him.“What’s going on, Alia? Who called you?”“Drew…” I cried bitterly. “What do I do… what do I—” I closed my eyes, my tears stinging.“Just talk to me. What’s going on?” he asked again.I opened my eyes, my vision blurry.“My babies, Drew…” I paused, my throat tightening.“What happened to them?” his voice was filled with worry. I could see he was trying to stay calm, but his eyes… his eyes gave him away.“Alice can’t find them… she said they are—” I broke down again at the thought of it.“What??” he stepped back slightly.“Missing…My babies are missing…”Even saying it didn’t feel real.Drew staggered backward
