Elias gripped my hand so tight, and his voice floated in my head as he warned me not to say a word. I wasn't allowed to move either, he added. He shouldn't have worried though. I was too panicked to move my limbs, and words had instantly deserted me the moment the room went dark. My heart hammered loudly against my chest as I tried, but failed, to place the voice. The speaker was unfamiliar, and I didn't know who he was. And that only made me more terrified. My fear stained the air, and it was tangy as it filled the room.
