Semua Bab My Second Chance Mate is a Barbarian : Bab 51 - Bab 60

SeraThe cartilage in my nose shattered. The crunch was sickening. Blood sprayed backward, hitting the dirt behind me.I fell flat on my back. My head bounced against the frozen earth. I went completely blind for two seconds. The pain in my face was absolute. It radiated deep into my teeth and up into my skull. I was suffocating on my own blood. It poured down the back of my throat, thick and metallic.Taya dropped down on top of me. She pinned my arms to the ground with her heavy knees. She sat squarely on my chest with her massive ass, crushing my lungs. She raised her right fist high into the cold air."This is an execution!"The voice tore through the roaring crowd. It was Lord Torin.I could barely hear him through the ringing in my ears. I turned my head slightly, spitting blood out of my mouth so I wouldn't choke.Torin stood at the edge of the ring. He was pointing a shaking finger at Fenris. My mother stood right behind Torin. She was gripping the sides of her head, screaming

SeraTaya’s massive fist sailed past my ear, the displacement of air whistling like a blade.Because I stepped inside her guard, her own momentum carried her forward. Her right side slammed into my chest. She was incredibly heavy, feeling like a solid wall of warm stone.I didn't back away. I planted my boots in the dirt, shifted my hips, and drove my right elbow straight up into her exposed throat. The hard point of my elbow connected directly with her windpipe.Taya let out a wet, gagging choke. Her eyes went wide. She stumbled backward, clutching her neck with her left hand. She coughed, a harsh, scraping sound that echoed in the quiet yard. The crowd gasped.I didn't give her time to recover. I stepped forward and threw a heavy right cross aimed at her jaw.But Taya was a born killer. Even choking, her instincts were terrifying. She dropped her level, letting my punch sail over her head. She lunged forward and wrapped her thick arms around my waist. She lifted me completely off the

SeraMy knuckles ached with a dull, heavy pulse. I looked down at my hands. The skin across my knuckles was completely split. Thick, dark blood coated my fingers, dripping slowly onto the packed dirt. It wasn't my blood.I stepped off Taya. My boots squelched in the mud we had created from frost and sweat. The silence in the yard broke. It didn't break with cheers. It broke with the frantic, heavy footsteps of the pack healers rushing past me. Three men and an older woman sprinted into the ring. They carried leather bags and rolls of clean linen. They dropped to their knees beside Taya’s limp body.Kael was already there. He pushed one of the healers aside aggressively. He grabbed his daughter's face. He was shouting something, his voice cracking with panic, but the high-pitched ringing in my ears muffled the words.I turned away from them. I started walking toward the edge of the ring.Every single step took massive effort. The forced healing had drained the marrow entirely from my bo

SeraMy vision narrowed to a dark, pulsing tunnel.Fenris’s smile was the only thing keeping me anchored to the frozen ground. His heavy, possessive approval acted like a temporary shot of adrenaline straight into my veins, holding my spine straight for three more seconds. Then the crowd surged forward.Mina broke through the line of Ironmaw warriors. She sprinted across the bloodstained dirt, her skirts hitched up to her knees, completely ignoring the sheer violence that had just taken place. She slammed into my side, stopping herself just short of grabbing my ribs. Her hands hovered frantically over my shoulders, vibrating with unchecked energy."You did it!" Mina practically screamed. Her eyes were wide, darting from my ruined face to the spot where the healers were carrying Taya away. "By the gods, Sera, I saw the whole thing! You broke her fucking arm! Shit that was brutal!"I looked at Mina. I opened my mouth to speak. My tongue felt like a thick piece of dry leather. I tried to

SeraFenris stopped. His hand froze against my chest. He looked up from my skin and met my eyes. His grey irises were almost completely swallowed by blown, black pupils. The predator was right at the surface, fighting against the iron bars of his control."You burned through your reserves," he said, his voice dropping an octave into a rough, vibrating growl. "You used the forced healing.""I had to," I whispered. My chest rose and fell rapidly under his hand."I know."He slowly dragged the cloth down my ribs, tracing the deep, purple bruising where Taya had kicked me. He was incredibly careful not to press too hard, but the sheer size of his hands made me feel completely engulfed. He washed my flat stomach. The wet heat of the cloth sent another wave of intense arousal crashing through my system. My core clenched hard. I was suddenly, desperately wet.The scent of my arousal bloomed into the room. I could smell my own arousal in the room, it incredibly potent, slicing right through th
