ALEXANDER~•~The headache came immediately after I tried to open my eyes. I groaned, placing my hand on my head as I suffered the consequences of my actions.I always told myself I wouldn’t drink much because of how much I suffered the next morning, but I just couldn’t help myself last night. I’d drunk as much as I could handle until everything started to blur, then…Then what? What happened next? I couldn’t recall a thing. How did I come to lie on a bed? I recalled trying to dial Harvey’s number but asides that, there wasn’t much I could remember.I forced my eyes open. Thankfully, the lights were turned off and the curtains were drawn close. I tried to sit up, but someone was holding on to the covers. I looked beside me to see a figure sleeping peacefully.A wave of blonde hair was resting on the pillow beside mine. I blinked. Charlotte didn’t have blonde hair. Why the hell was a woman with blonde hair sleeping beside me? Why were her shoulders bare? Why the hell was I shirtless? I

CHARLOTTE~•~As soon as the door closed behind Lucy and I, I let out a deep breath and leaned against the door.Tears gathered in my eyes as I looked around the room. The room belonged to Alex and me, but I’d already kicked him out. I doubted I’d be able to stay in this room by myself.“Oh my baby,” I saw Lucy through my blurry vision. She wrapped her arms around me just as the tears started to fall freely.“W-what am I going to do now?” I hiccuped. “What happens after this?”I’d expected to spend the rest of my life with Alexander. I didn’t make any plans in case things didn’t work out between us. I never imagined it could even come to that. After he left, was I supposed to keep living alone? What was the next step?“You’ll figure it out, okay?” She rubbed my back soothingly, but it did nothing to soothe me.I forced the tears to stop anyway.I pulled away from her and wiped my eyes clean. “I’ll pack a bag and spend the night with you.”“You can spend as many nights as you want with

ALEXANDER~•~I couldn’t catch a fucking break.I was busy trying to get the footage of my night at the bar when my phone rang. It was Harvey calling and Harvey barely ever called me. He only did so whenever he had something important to say. Otherwise, he’d just text.“Excuse me,” I told the guys at the security room and stepped outside before answering the call. “What’s up?”“I thought you said Charlotte cheated on you?” He questioned without saying hi or hello.I didn’t respond because I wasn’t sure of anything anymore, especially after everything that happened in the past few days.“How come I’m seeing articles of you cheating on her?”That got my attention. “Articles? What do you mean?”There was a ding on my phone, then, “I just sent you a link.”Hesitantly, I tapped the link that Harvey sent to me. It led me to an article whose headline was about Brielle and me entering the same hotel and coming out the next morning. “Fuck.”I was struggling to explain to Charlotte. The woman h

CHARLOTTE~•~As soon as I saw the headlines, the first thing I did was turn on my phone. It started buzzing immediately. Several texts were coming in at once. My phone was ringing nonstop.Lucy looked at me, horrified.I quickly put my phone on do not disturb and scrolled through the messages one after the other, already knowing that my assistant, agent, and manager must have messaged me too. I wasn’t wrong.I checked my manager’s text first.[Grayson: What’s with the news? Is it true?]I didn’t know what to reply. I knew they wanted to know the truth so they knew how to handle it, but even Alexander didn’t know whether or not it was true. What the hell could I say to that?[Me: idk, but we’re getting divorced]His response came immediately. [Grayson: Any other surprises I should know of?]I shook my head slightly, but I wasn’t surprised that he didn’t bother to ask how I was doing or check if it was a mutual decision. He just didn’t want anything that would taint my career.[Me: ho

ALEXANDER~•~I was hesitant to leave the house.Three suitcases stood by the door, lined up against the wall. My shoes were gone from the rack. My watch box was empty. My half of the closet upstairs was almost emptied, but I couldn’t pack everything at once. The house was too quiet. There was no music drifting from Charlotte’s studio. No faint humming from the kitchen. No echo of her heels on the floor. It affected me much more than I cared to admit.I sat on the couch, elbows on my knees, staring at nothing. I was waiting. I just wasn’t sure what I was waiting for.Maybe for her to walk in and tell me to unpack. Maybe for my phone to ring with some miracle explanation that would fix everything. Maybe for myself to wake up from whatever nightmare this was.I was taken by surprise when the front door clicked open.My head snapped up just as Charlotte stepped inside. She froze when she saw me.For a second, neither of us spoke. She looked different from the previous day. Yesterday, she
