Lahat ng Kabanata ng WANTED! KING NOLAN'S OBSESSION.: Kabanata 151 - Kabanata 160

Ronnie's POV"Please tell me it's a lie!"The elderly woman just remained on her knees, her head bowed, not saying a single word.I slapped myself hard right across my own cheek, just to make sure I wasn't in some ridiculous dream. The pain was real. The woman on her knees was real. The two colors still glowing faintly on that iron seal behind her were very, very real."You can't be saying the truth," I said, my voice growing louder as the words forced their way out before I could form them into something meaningful. "That can't be the truth. I can't be... no, please, this doesn't make any sense..."I stopped myself before the tears came, pressing my lips together and forcing myself to breathe slowly. My mind had completely abandoned the book I had come here looking for in the first place.I picked up the book I had been holding at some point without realizing it and set it down on one of the wooden tables nearby. My hands were shaking slightly.I needed air.I turned toward the door,

Sarah's POVThe drive to the Lycan palace was longer than I remembered.Or maybe it just felt that way because of everything sitting in my chest the entire journey.I had made this decision before I could think about it too much and then talk myself out of it. That was exactly how I made these types of decisions that mattered so much. No much thinking, just more action. And honestly, If I hadn't already left the house, I would have convinced myself that this was a very bad idea. Most especially now that I was standing in front of the gate of the Lycan Kingdom.A heavy lump settled in my stomach, I hadn't been here in years. What if someone recognises you? The stray thought penetrated my mind before I could stop it.I just stood some steps away from the gate, watching the guards with their expressionless faces as they stood alert at the gate.I closed my eyes, letting out a sigh."This is for you, Ronnie." I muttered to myself, a reminder of why I was here.I took a breath and walked t

Jessie’s POV"Hmmm..." The sound escaped her lips before any word could even make it out. For a moment, she just sat silent, like she was trying to imagine it. Then suddenly, she shook her head. "That's not possible!" She sounded a little firm about it, like she had already read the King's motive and knew that it had nothing to do with her. Thinking about it for another second, it sounded like something else entirely. Maybe Denial? "I think we should go baby shopping someday before you leave." I said, quickly brushing off the topic cause I could already notice her growing discomfort as the topic continued to drag. "Yes... Of course... We should do that." The relief in her voice spoke louder than anything else. We spent another few hours binge watching videos of friends who got pregnant at the same time and how their babies ended up best friends as well. It was all laughs and fun...Then suddenly, Ronnie stood up and walked to the full length mirror. Her hands rubbed against he

Desmond's POV"Old but not weary." Almond clapped, accompanied by a smile as he approached us.Almond was the commander in charge of training the young Lycans. He was skilled and maybe the perfect man for the job.I had chosen him specially for this because he reminded me so much of myself when I was much younger.I had been a little bored at home and so I decided to come around here to watch the young Lycans train. It had actually become an habit over the years and no one, not even Nolan could deny the passion I had for the young Lycans. That is why he officially asked me to help pick someone I found fit to train them, while I supervised. I didn't hesitate to agree. The young Lycans bowed immediately they saw their commander who had just returned from whatever meeting he had with Nolan. I didn't care much to find out what it was. If it concerned me, he would have requested my presence as well."What do you have to say to Lord Desmond?" Almond said and immediately, all the students we

159Reuben's POV“Who the heck does she think she is?” I muttered, staring at the unread texts.Three texts. That was how many I had sent since I found out she was returning to the palace, and she had replied to exactly none of them.I set my phone face down on the desk, rolling my eyes at it for a moment like it had personally offended me, then picked it back up and checked the screen again out of habit, already knowing what I would find.Nothing.I put it down again. The first text was simple. ‘I heard you're coming back.’ Just enough to let her know I was expecting her without outrightly saying it. She ignored it.The second one, I had waited about a day or two before sending it, which was already longer than I usually waited for anything. She ignored that one too.The third one I sent yesterday. I hadn't planned to send a third. I had told myself two was already more than I would normally bother with, that if someone didn't respond after two attempts the correct thing to do was
