Lahat ng Kabanata ng Marriage For Revenge, Bound by Desire.: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

KADEN The jet cut through the night sky and I still couldn’t get her face out of my head. Not Diane. Catherine. The way she looked at me when I walked out with Diane, she was hurt — I could tell. Diane is my distant cousin, she’s having issues with her asshole of a husband. She looked so beautiful yesterday — God I wanted to pick her straight home yesterday and fuck her senseless till we forgot this week’s problems, but I couldn’t. I needed to let her know that I won’t condone some of her actions. But the media had already spread misinformation about us.I loosened my tie and stared out the window. We just landed when my phone buzzed. Mojo.I picked up immediately. “Talk to me.”“Got something,” he said. “The boardroom was bugged. Definitely not an amateur’s work.”“Is that all?”“No boss, the device signature matches equipment used by a private firm, very exclusive. I’m running the client list now.”“Send it the moment you have something,” I ended the call. The SUVs were already wai

CATHERINE I woke up before him.The room was quiet — the warmth of the sheets, the weight of an arm across my waist, the sound of his heavy breathing beside me.Kaden.I stared at the ceiling for a moment before carefully lifting his arm and sliding out. My thighs burned from the sheer size of him.I grabbed my robe from the chair and slipped out of the room without looking back.Downstairs I stood in the kitchen staring at the coffee machine without actually seeing it. Last night happened — Kaden and I. I pressed my fingers to my lips and groaned quietly. The coffee machine beeped and I poured a cup.“Get it together, Catherine,” I groaned.I heard footsteps and Kaden appeared, shirt half buttoned, hair slightly undone. His gruff voice did all kinds of things to me that were inappropriate at seven in the morning.“We need to talk.”“About last night—” I started but he cut me off.“Don’t say it was a mistake. It was long overdue anyway,” he smirked.I nodded, turning away from him.“

CATHERINE My black silk dress graced the floor gracefully, the heels of my shoes clinking softly against the marble floors as I held my head up high and strolled into the boardroom where I was going to put this bastard out once and for all. After the surprise news my husband gave me yesterday — yes, to me it was a surprise — I had gone back to my room, taken a shower and put myself together. I went back to question Kaden about it again, about how he was able to pull all of this off, but he told me to relax and wait for the show that was about to happen today.Everyone was already there. Each board member seated across the table. There were other members whom I had never seen before, but I guessed this must have been Kaden’s doing.I took my seat and pinned my gaze on Dean, who by the way was unsettled.“I don’t understand what’s happening here and the sudden call of this meeting,” he said. He wanted to come across as the arrogant, confident boss he was, but his body language gave him

KADENI looked out at the city from the study, nursing a glass of whiskey in my hand. I took a sip, the liquid scorching a path down my throat as I thought about Catherine. My whole life I’ve been in control. I’ve been ruthless in what I want, manipulated people into getting what I want. This stupid tradition of my family is what led me to Catherine, she needed an anchor, I needed a wife. But I never thought I would be getting the full package with her.I’ve never wanted a wife — to be tied to someone, but things have changed and I know it.Catherine is growing on me. I’ve never fucked a woman twice, but with her it’s different. I want to own her, claim her in every way possible, ruin her for other men.My teeth clenched at the thought of Catherine with another man, his hands on her soft body. That will never happen. Catherine is mine and I don’t intend to let her go.Her problems are now my problems and I will scorch to the ends of the earth to find out who’s messing with my wife.I

CATHERINE The car drive back home was silent. Kaden was on his phone throughout the ride, which was good because I could not look him in the eye after last night.I kept my gaze on the window, watching the city replace the ocean slowly. I was back to reality.I snuck a glance at him. He was still scrolling through his phone, his jaw tight. He looked unbothered, as if the beach house had not happened, as if last night had not happened, as if he had not had his fingers inside me. I mentally kicked myself for letting him get to me like this.We pulled into the garage and neither of us spoke until we were in the elevator.“You’re quiet,” he said, eyes still on his phone.“So are you.” I scoffed slightly.“I’m working.”“So am I.”He looked up at me then. That look — the one that made me feel like he knew something I didn’t, like he could see exactly what I was thinking and found it amusing.“What are you working on?” he asked.“Minding my business. You should try it sometimes.”His lips
