NANCY'S POVA“fter the incident with Andreas, my father arranged a video call."I thought it would be good for you to talk to one of your friends," Marco had said during our weekly check-in. "You've been isolated for too long. It's not healthy."I'd wanted to laugh at that. Not healthy? Being trapped on an island with a man who made me feel like I was losing my mind wasn't healthy either, but here we were.Still, the prospect of talking to someone from my old life—someone normal, someone uncomplicated—was appealing."Who?" I'd asked."Lucas. He's been asking about you. Worried. I had him vetted, of course. He's safe."Lucas. My best friend since freshman year at Columbia. The person who knew me better than almost anyone.Relief had flooded through me. "Thank you. I'd love to talk to him."So now, at precisely two PM, I sat in the villa's study with the laptop open in front of me, waiting for the call to connect.Zade stood near the doorway. Supposedly to ensure security. Really to mon

ZADE'S POVThe admission hung between us.Nancy looked away. "You have a funny way of showing it."Fair. That was fair.I ran a hand through my hair, trying to figure out what to say. How to make this right."Can I stay?" The words came out before I'd fully thought them through. "Just until you fall back asleep. So you're not alone if the nightmare comes back."Nancy looked surprised. "You want to stay?""If you'll let me. I don't—I don't want you to be scared. And if I'm here, maybe you'll feel safe enough to actually rest."She studied my face for a long moment, clearly trying to decide if this was a good idea. Finally, she nodded. "Okay. You can stay."Relief flooded through me. "Thank you."Nancy shifted, laying back down, curling on her side facing away from me.Creating distance even while allowing me to stay.I adjusted my position, sitting with my back against her headboard, one leg stretched out on the bed, the other foot on the floor.Close enough to be there if she needed m

NANCY'S POVI moaned into the kiss, my body arching up against his despite—or maybe because of—the fact that my wrists were still pinned above my head. The kiss was everything. Consuming. Overwhelming. Like he'd been holding back for so long that now that the dam had broken, he couldn't stop. His tongue swept into my mouth, tasting, exploring. His teeth caught my lower lip, tugging gently.I kissed him back just as desperately, pouring weeks of frustration and want into it.When we finally broke apart, both gasping for air, Zade didn't pull away.Instead, his lips moved to my neck, kissing along the column of my throat.I couldn't hold back the moan that escaped. His teeth grazed my pulse point and I felt him smile against my skin."Fuck," he breathed against my neck. "I've been wanting to do this for so long.""Then why didn't you?" The words came out breathy."Because I'm an idiot."He kissed his way back up to my jaw, across my cheek, back to my mouth. This kiss was slower but no l

NANCY'S POVIt twitched in my palm, hot and hard and so thick my fingers barely met around it."Fuck," Zade breathed, his hand slamming against the shower wall behind me for support. There was precum beading at the tip. I watched, fascinated, as another drop formed.I'd never done this before. Not really. A fumbling attempt with my ex that had been more awkward than arousing. But I wanted to do this for Zade. Wanted to taste him. Wanted to make him feel the way he'd made me feel with his words, his promises.I stroked him experimentally, learning the feel of him. The way he pulsed in my hand. The way his breathing changed."Nancy." My name was a groan. "You don't have to—""I want to," I said, looking up at him through the spray of water. Then I leaned forward and took him in my mouth.Zade made a sound—something between a curse and a prayer. His taste flooded my senses. Clean from the shower, but also essentially him. Salt and musk and something uniquely Zade.I started to move, taki

NANCY'S POVThe praise hit me like a drug. A full-body shiver rolled through me, nipples tightening against the silk. His hands gripped my thighs—firm, possessive—and spread me wider, until I was completely open to him. Exposed. Vulnerable. The position should have embarrassed me, but instead it sent a rush of power through my veins. I felt desired. Worshipped. His.“So fucking beautiful,” he breathed, eyes fixed on my glistening folds. “Look at this pretty little cunt. Already dripping for me.”Then he leaned in and kissed my clit—soft at first, almost tender. My back arched hard off the bed, a sharp gasp tearing from my throat. His tongue flicked out, warm and wet, circling the sensitive bundle of nerves with devastating precision.“Zade—” I whimpered.“Shhh.” His strong hands pinned my thighs open. “Let me take care of you, baby. I’ve been th
