Paulo led Lewis down another long hallway after leaving Derek’s room. The mansion felt even larger in the morning light, though the heavy curtains kept most of the sun from entering. Their footsteps echoing faintly against the polished marble floor.Lewis' body remained stiff as he walked behind Paulo. His mind racing with different scenarios. But the reoccurring question was “what will happen to him now?”Eventually, Paulo stopped in front of a closed door and Lewis, who was not looking ahead, almost slammed his head into Paulo's back. “Rather than your mouth, your eyes should be open,” Paulo said.Lewis' irritation was enough and he was not ready to add to it. Moreover, Paulo's boss had done enough damage. What else could Paulo do that could provoke him? Nothing. After opening the door, Paulo gestured inside.“Go in.”Lewis took a step inside cautiously. It was a bedroom. Though it was smaller than the one Derek had slept in, it was still luxurious. A large bed stood against the wa

“Get him,” Derek ordered. Paulo left without saying a word. There was no time to waste in situations like that. They've never gotten themselves into something like this before. While Paulo was gone, Derek thought of all possible ways to get rid of Lewis without drawing attention from the public. He was not scared of them. He just wanted to stay clear because of his businesses. Unnecessary attention like that one will cause a lot of damage and he didn't like damages at all, not even the slightest. Paulo returned with Lewis a few minutes later.Lewis stepped into the hallway cautiously, his shoulders tense as if he expected someone to jump out at him at any moment. His eyes moved quickly between Derek and Paulo.Derek stood near the staircase, his arms folded. An irritated look etched on his face. “Come here,” Derek said.Lewis didn’t move at first.Paulo gently nudged him forward.Lewis walked closer, stopping a few steps away from Derek.Derek studied him carefully.“You’re leavi

Lewis had barely recovered from Barbie when he heard a knock on the door. He lifted his head from the couch with a groan. The knocking continued, aggressively. Before he could answer, he heard his name clearly and he recognized the voice immediately. “LEWIS!” His mother yelled through the closed door. At least, someone who would believe him was there, unlike his girlfriend who had refused to believe him. Lewis dragged himself to the door and opened it. The moment it swung open, his mother rushed inside like a storm.“My son!”Still standing at the door, she grabbed his face with both hands, turning it left and right like she was inspecting a damaged object.“You’re alive!”Lewis stiffened as he let her do her thing. Behind her stood his younger sister, holding her phone, looking curious rather than worried.Barbie looked satisfied with the presence of his mother and sister. She could not be the only one listening to the lies their son was spitting. Lewis narrowed his eyes on her.

There are three kinds of desire. The natural and necessary desire. The natural but unnecessary desire. And the empty and vain desires. The kind that looked real on the surface but meant nothing if you looked deeper. Derek had never fit into any of them. Nothing about him had ever felt natural. Not the life he lived. Not the things he did. Not even the way he allowed himself to feel.If anything, Derek created his own definitions. His own rules. And his own version of desire. He took what he wanted, discarded what he didn’t, and never questioned it.That was how he had always been.Until now.The red lights of the club flickered softly across his skin as he leaned back against the couch, one arm resting at his side.Between his legs, a man knelt, doing everything that would usually hold Derek’s attention. The man’s head moved with confidence, his mouth moving slowly like he was following a rhythm only he could hear. Even his lips tongue worked intentionally. He knew exactly what he wa

Argument had never caused separation for Lewis and Barbie, not even for a week. They've argued over silly things before. Things like women role in the society. Things like Lewis being a pushover at work. Things like chocolate spread are better than fruit jam. And those arguments never caused any separation. But this particular one was taking too long. Two weeks of romantic struggles. Two weeks of being ignored by his girlfriend because she thought he lied to her. Two weeks of short replies. Two weeks of begging his girlfriend to understand him. Every attempt Lewis made to explain himself had either been brushed off or turned into another argument. It was as if Barbie wasn't ready to believe him yet. Lewis knew when it was time for him to be forgiven, Barbie would come around. But his problem was when? He had thought two days. Two days turned five days. Five days turned into a week. A week turned into two weeks. And he was getting frustrated more and more. Just like he had thought,
