She then looked at the table between them which had, in a very short amount of time, gone from a full royal feast to a collection of almost empty pots and bare platters. She watched Marl reach into yet another bowl with his hand and pull out the last piece of something and eat it without slowing down at all. "What am I looking at," she said but it was not a question exactly. More like something a person said out loud when their eyes were showing them something their brain was still arguing with. Draevon had not moved from his spot. His eyes had not left Kaelithra since she sat down. "I hope the cook has more food," he said to his sister. Miraeve stared at the table for another second. "I thought there would be leftovers. A lot of them. We always leave at least half the table behind." She looked at Marl reaching for a bread crust that was the last thing left on his side.

All of them women and all of them moving quickly and quietly, carrying dishes and pots and fresh bread between them, setting everything down on the table in a line and taking the empty plates back out with them without a word.
