Lahat ng Kabanata ng REBIRTH: I REFUSE TO BE LUNA: Kabanata 111 - Kabanata 120

Lance’s POV:“So,” Lance drawled coldly, his eyes cold as he locked his gaze on the woman he had heard about for the past couple of weeks. “This is the damsel.”Lance made sure to keep his sarcasm present in every word that left his lips. The moment he spoke, Damien reacted just the way he had expected. His expression darkened and Lance could spot some embers begin to light up in his eyes.“No,” Damien corrected smoothly, as he shifted in front of the woman, “This is my mate.”Lance almost scoffed, almost. How could an alpha be that gullible? It was pretty clear to Lance that the woman, Nyssa, was just using both alphas. She clearly didn’t like either of them. And besides, no matter how hard he looked at her, Nyssa did not look special enough to cause this much chaos between two alphas. She was very beautiful, yes, but so were thousands of other women.Somehow, Damien had allowed this woman to cause a brewing war between a nearby pack.In Lance’s mind, she was nothing but trouble wrapp

The moment I triggered my shift, my nerves grew tight, and within me, my wolf let out a celebratory cry.The shift itself began like it always did, it always started with my muscles beginning to burn as warmth slowly began to spread across my body. Then, my bones crack, my muscles tighten and eventually reform just as my wolf lets out another cry. I could not remember the last time I had left her out, and it showed with just how much joy I felt in my very being.I had restrained my inner wolf for far too long, and for the first time in a long time, I let my humanity fade into the background, and embraced my wolf. The shift was still in process, but my senses had all evolved. My sense of smell depeened, my eyes began to grow and the world subsequently became less dark.I smiled as I felt the cool night wind as it brushed lightly against my fur. And then, when the shift was completed, I simply closed my eyes and took a long, deep breath.God. I hadn’t known just how much I had missed thi

My blood went cold, and I blinked as I stared at the envelope in my hand,“You have been summoned.”With a frown on my face, I opened the envelope, took out the letter and my frown grew deeper as I began to read the letter. Just like the woman had said, it was an Official Notice of Summons from the council, and it was a notice for a rescheduling.According to the letter, the hearing that had been previously scheduled for three weeks from now has been moved forward… to tomorrow. My jaw tightened the moment I read the date of appearance.Tomorrow? Less than twenty hours? How? How could a meeting as important as this be moved so quickly?Honestly, I had expected Adrian to try something, but I had not expected him to be this fast. He had somehow gotten the summons shifted to a couple of days before the mating ceremony, and if his plan – whatever it was worked – then, he would be able to slow down the ceremony. But I already knew the consequences of what this letter was going to do. I knew

Nyssa’s POVThe council hall was suffocating. And it wasn’t because I was afraid, no, it was because every single wolf inside the hall was staring at me. Not just staring in my direction, no, everyone was openly staring straight at me.From the very moment we walked in, whispers moved quietly through the massive circular hall. And the whispers were from everyone, even from the Alphas who sat high above on their elevated seats as though they were kings watching a gladiator match. Some of them were obviously curious about me, others looked amused. And two of them were clearly openly hostile. One of them was Lance, but the other alpha was one I could not recognize. My eyes darted from them and shifted towards the stage, and that was when I fully paused. Because Adrian was already sitting down with his contingent of wolves cuddled tightly around him.The moment we walked in, someone tapped him on his shoulder and he turned around to face us. Our eyes crossed, and I saw raw hatred flashing

Nyssa’s POV:“The petition is denied.”Silence descended on the hall for a moment as everyone processed the words, and before everyone could come to terms with the verdict, Adrian’s pack exploded into chaos.“What?!” Adrian’s voice was the loudest, and his octave was so loud that it spread through chamber in an instant. “No, you are wrong!”Lance actually looked stunned. Several Alphas immediately began talking among themselves while Adrian stood frozen in disbelief.Adrian looked like he wanted to scream. Instead of calmly taking the verdict, he pointed straight at my mate.“You,” he hissed, his voice filled with rage, “You manipulated them!”Damien smiled, “No,” he said with a light shrug, “You lost, that’s all.”The entire chamber went silent after Damien spoke. Now that the verdict was out, we could all walk around and leave, but something told me that if we did that, Adrian was going to attack us.I turned to face my former mate and frowned. Adrian looked like he couldn’t breathe.
