Semua Bab His Forbidden Mate: Hiding the Alpha's Secret Heir: Bab 1 - Bab 10

The iron gates of the Steele estate loomed ahead like the jaws of a beast, untouched by the seven years I had spent running.Stepping out of the sleek black town car, the bitter New York wind whipped through my dark coat. I stood on the gravel driveway, staring up at the sprawling, gothic mansion. It was exactly as terrifying and magnificent as I remembered. Every stone reeked of old money, dark secrets, and werewolf elite. My chest sank into my ribs in a crazy, threatening beat. Go back, my wolf within me said. He's here. The Alpha is here.I clamped down on my fear. I was not so terrified anymore, as I was a pregnant nineteen-year-old. I was a mother. Ethan had been safely packed off by my nanny, Mrs. Higgins, to a fine suite in one of the luxury hotels in Manhattan. There could be no chance of my carrying my six-year-old son--with his conspicuous silver eyes--into a house where apex predators were at home, until I had heard with certainty what Richard’s will required.I shouldered

I slammed the heavy oak door of my assigned bedroom, throwing the deadbolt with a sharp, frantic click.I was breathing heavily when I pressed my back to the door and closed my eyes. I had such intense hand tremors that I could not open my bag. I searched through my lip gloss and design pens until I found my cell phone. The period of six months. The words echoed in my mind like a death sentence. Dominic had me trapped. He had detected my son's weak scent which triggered his Alpha instincts to develop into a dangerous powerful obsession. I had only a few hours remaining before he began to search for me.I unlocked my phone and used my shaky hands to make a call. The British voice on the other end answered after two rings."Miss Hart? How was the service, dear?""Mrs. Higgins, listen to me very carefully," I whispered, my voice tight with controlled panic. I walked around the Persian rug while I watched the bedroom windows with fearful eyes. "You need to pack Ethan’s bags right now. Lea

"You were pregnant," Dominic whispered, his voice cracking like breaking ice. "When you left this house... you were carrying my child."He gazed at the old clinic receipt in his hand, the paper shaking so hard in his large hand. The air of the kitchen became so thick, so stiflingly full of raw, unfiltered Alpha power, that I was unable to take a breath. Then the monster escaped.A wild, ferocious scream tore out of the breast of Dominic, and shook the very walls of the house. He spun around and slammed his fist into the solid marble countertop. The crack, which was deafening, reverberated in the room, as a tremendous fissure spider-webbed in the thick stone."Dominic, stop!" I screamed, receding against the wall.He wasn't listening. Blind, devastating grief and fury hijacked his senses. He took a heavy oak barstool, and threw it across the room with deadly facility. It crashed against the glass pantry doors, and the thousands of jagged pieces landed on the floor.Marcus immediately t

"Now, why do I get the feeling that if I send this little detail to the wrong people... that bastard child won't live to see the sunset?"The fragile part of me that existed since my childhood died at that moment. The girl who used to run away from danger died when I felt the intense heat. This woman was threatening my baby. My six-year-old boy.My body moved without my brain giving any instructions.I jumped off the massive bed and threw my body at her.Camille screamed in shock as I crashed into her. The weight of my body caused her to fall backward with me onto the heavy bedroom carpet. The silver phone flew out of her hand and slid across the floor."Don't you ever threaten my son!" I yelled.I grabbed a handful of her perfect blonde hair and pulled hard. Camille shrieked, her fake mask falling away. The hand he ripped showed me his henchman to attack their cheek which I could not defend myself against. I pressed her shoulders down with my knees. The loud sound of my slap to her f

A deep, terrifying growl filled the small room. It was so loud it shook the walls.Dominic moved forward into the room. The room temperature dropped to extreme cold. The Alpha stared at the woman who had betrayed his mate and sold his child. He appeared to be about to kill her.Mrs. Higgins retreated from her position. Her face, which had remained cold and calm, finally showed emotions. She looked at the Alpha's glowing golden eyes and understood the terrible mistake she had made. Two million dollars could not save her from a monster. She dropped the black bag. The thick stacks of cash spilled onto the dirty wooden floor.Mrs. Higgins begged "Mr. Steele please" with her voice shaking. She raised her hands above her head. "I am just an old woman. I did not harm the boy. I only made a phone call. Camille is the one who wanted to hurt him."Dominic accused "You took food from my table." His voice was not loud but it expressed complete dark anger. "You smiled at my mate. You lived in her
