Sign the Termination

Lyra’s POVThree years ago, Alpha Kael Stormclaw asked me to marry him, me, an ordinary omega. The weakest rank in the entire pack, and even now, when I think about that moment, it feels like a dream I was never meant to have.Everyone was shocked, confused, and some even laughed.“An omega?” someone whispered loudly.Kael stood in front of the whole pack. He was calm and composed as he said the words that changed my life.“I will marry Lyra Vale.”My knees almost gave out that day because I knew the truth.I was just an omega who cleaned the pack house and carried water buckets every morning. Why did he choose me?The answer was simple. I saved his life. That night still lives inside my head like it happened yesterday. It was three years ago.The howls woke me up. Rogues attacked our border without warning, and the entire pack was fighting. I should have run when the battle started, just like everyone else did, but then I saw him.Kael.He was lying near the trees, and he was injur

The Engagement Ends

Lyra’s POVThe pen shook in my hand, and I stared at the paper in front of me, but the words were blurred.“Termination of Engagement Agreement.”My fingers were cold, and for a moment, I could not breathe.Serena was still holding Kael’s arm; it was like she belonged there, as she had always belonged there.Like the past three years never happened.I then swallowed hard, and I whispered the question that had been burning inside my chest.“Kael… did you ever love me?”The room went quiet; it was so quiet that I could hear my own heartbeat but Kael did not answer, and he didn’t even look at me.Serena then let out a soft laugh, it was gentle and sweet, but it cut deeper than a knife.“You really thought he loved you?” she said and my grip tightened on the pen. I looked at her slowly. Her smile was calm and confident; it was like she already knew she had won.“You were just the girl who saved him,” she continued, and her eyes moved over me slowly, from my simple dress to my trembling ha

Bonded then Rejected

Lyra’s POVI walked back to my room slowly, my chest still hurting, the hallway was longer than before, and every wolf I passed turned to look at me.Some whispered, some stared, some laughed, but I kept my head down.I did not want to hear what they said, and when I reached my small room, I closed the door. For a moment, I just stood there with my hand still resting on the door. Then my legs gave up, and I sat on the bed. The room felt strange, and everything looked the same. But nothing felt the same.Three years.Three years of waiting.Three years of believing I would marry Kael, all gone in one night. My eyes moved to the window, and the moon was already rising.Tonight was the Moon Goddess Ceremony, and my chest tightened again. The thought returned.“What if the Moon Goddess chooses Kael and me?What if we are mates?Would he still turn away from the bond?Or would he finally see me?”I shook my head.Stop it, Lyra. You already know the answer.Still… my wolf moved inside me,

The Lycan King

Lyra’s POVBranches hit my arms as I ran, and my feet moved without stopping, tears blurred my eyes, and I could not see the path clearly, but I kept running. My chest hurt, and the broken mate bond burned inside me like fire.“Why…?” I whispered while running.“Why did you do that, Kael?”The forest grew deeper, and the pack borders disappeared behind me, and then I slowed down after some time.My legs shook, and my breathing became ragged.I stopped near a large tree and held the trunk. My hands trembled, my mind returned to the ceremony, and Kael’s voice echoed in my head.“I reject you as my mate.”My wolf whimpered inside me, and the pain spread again through my chest. I sank to the ground, and tears fell down my face.“I was ready to accept everything,” I whispered.“I was ready to stay by your side even if you did not love me.”My voice broke“But you still pushed me away.”The forest answered with silence, but one heard me and no one cared, but suddenly a low growl broke throu

She Cannot Be Dead

Kael’s POVThe sun sank behind the forest as I sat on the Alpha throne; the hall was full of warriors. But my mind was not here, and my wolf moved inside me again and again. It was restless and angry. The broken mate bond still burned in my chest, and I pressed my hand against my ribs. The pain grew stronger every time I thought of her.Lyra.I shook the thought away. I made the right choice.Serena stood beside the throne, and her hand rested on my shoulder.“You should eat,” she said.“I am not hungry.”“You have not eaten all day.”“I said I am not hungry.”She sighed, and then she sat beside me like nothing was wrong, like tonight was normal, like a girl did not run into the rogue forest because of me.“Stop thinking about her,” Serena said.“She was weak anyway.”My jaw tightened, but I did not answer her. My wolf growled inside me, then the doors of the hall opened, and warriors walked in, looking tired.Mud covered their boots, and they knelt before the throne as the leader low

The Reveal

LyraI quickly stood up as Ares was about to leave the room. I felt dizzy."What are you doing?" I said, my breath unsteady."If anyone needs to leave, it's me."He turned and looked at me."You don’t get to decide that!"I took a step closer.“I do.”His eyes looked at my belly for a moment.I clenched my fists. “This isn’t your concern.”Ares’ voice was deep, and there was something in it that made me feel uneasy.“Anything that threatens you… is my concern”"You don’t even know what happened."Tears welled up in my eyes.I told him everything.“I saved him.” My voice shook. “I believed in him… for years. I thought he cared.”I laughed. “Turns out, I was just repaying a debt he never wanted.”"And you still care about him". His face darkened, his voice cutting. The room was silent.“He’s the father of my child."I placed my hands on my belly.Ares froze. The air in the room was full of tension.“They still cast you out…” Ares said slowly. His voice was deadly.“After everything you

You're not Leaving

LyraI couldn't sleep. The events of the night before kept playing on my mind. My heart began to race, and I shot up from the bed.“No,” I whispered. My hands reached my lips as if to wash away the kiss that almost happened, and then I shook my head.I could not allow myself to feel anything for him, especially not now that my whole world is coming apart. My hand went to my stomach.“I have to go,” I whispered.“You need your father.”The decision was made, and I stood up slowly.Although my body was still weak, I ignored it and looked around the room. I didn’t have anything, no clothes, no shoes, nothing. If I take anything, they will notice. I need to leave quietly before anyone wakes up.….Silence filled the castle. The hallways were long and dim, and my footsteps were light. I picked up my pace but quietly, till I reached a corner.I listened, but there was no sound. I kept going.I reached the last hallway, and I saw the large doors ahead.Freedom in just a few more steps. I sm

The Truth in Her Blood

Lyra His words hit me hard. I felt it in my chest, like something inside me broke, and I stared at him.“Don't even bring him into this,” I said, and my voice shook, but Ares did not look away.“He threw you out,” he said.“He left you to die.”“That is not your concern!” I yelled.“It is!”His voice rose a little, and everything went silent; even the guards didn’t move, and I felt my eyes burn.“I am leaving,” I said again, but this time, the words felt firm because I didn't want to spend another second in this place.Ares watched me for a long moment, then he turned around.“Take her back,” he told the guards, and my heart dropped.“Don't even come close," I warned.I turned and walked back inside. My eyes are tearing up.My steps were fast.I hated this, I hated him, I hated this place.….When I got back to my room, the girl from earlier came in quickly, asking if everything was alright. She must have heard the commotion. She asked if I needed anything, but I just slammed the doo

Power That Should Not Exist

LYRAHer voice stayed in my head; it did not leave, no matter how hard I tried. I stepped back, but my legs were weak.“No…”I shook my head.“That is not true.”The healer did not argue; she only looked at me.“I am an omega,” I said again, but my voice sounded small.“I grew up like that; everyone said it."“And you believed them.” She replied.I looked away. There was silence, then the door opened, and Ares walked in.I felt it before I saw him, that strange pull, and I quickly turned away from him.“I don’t want to see him,” I said.“I didn’t ask,” he replied, and his footsteps moved closer, each step making my heart beat faster.I hated it.“I told you to leave,” I said.“I am not in the mood for your games.” He answered.“This is not a game.”His voice was serious, and it made me look at him.“Then what is it?”“The truth.”I scoffed. “Your truth?”“No.”“Our truth.” He said like it meant something.I let out a sharp scoff. His eyes darkened.“Come with me.”“No.”“You will co

A King Who Watches

LyraHis words hung in the air, and I felt them. I shook my head slowly.“No…”My voice was weak.“You don’t get to choose what you are,” he added.Nothing was making sense.“I didn’t ask for this."Silence fell, and I wrapped my arms around myself, like I could keep everything inside, as I could stop it. Then Ares turned.“Again,” he said.“Train.”My eyes widened.“No.”“Yes, you need to; you almost broke that warrior.”“I didn’t mean to!”“And next time?”“What if it is someone weaker?” He continued.I didn’t answer because I knew he was right. After all, that fear was already inside me.“You need control,” he said.“I don’t know how,” I whispered.“I will show you.”I hesitated, then he turned to another warrior.“Come.”The man stepped forward.I stepped back.“I will hurt him, too.” “Then try not to.” My hands started shaking again.“Focus.”His voice cut through my fear, and I looked at him.“Focus on me,” he said, and I looked down, my heart racing.“Lyra.”He said my name,
