The color drained from Theron's face."What… what did you just say?" His voice trembled. "Cerys's crystal was at the scene?""Yes, Chief Enforcer," the guard said, his voice still hoarse. "We had to backtrack to find where it all started. The scene… it's bad. You should come see for yourself."Theron froze, an uncontrollable tremor running through his body."No… impossible…" His voice was barely a whisper.
