(Clara's POV)The wolf pack scrambled backward, yelping. The lead wolf let out a shrill whimper, recoiling as though it had been seared by holy fire, its nose twitching in fear.The golden glow expanded, wrapping around my entire body like a cocoon, and agony exploded through me — a searing pain that made me scream into the dirt. The light in my veins clashing with the wolfsbane, burning the green toxin out of my blood cell by cell.Black smoke curled from the wound in my side, thick and acrid, the wolfsbane being purged from my system, and I could feel the flesh knitting back together, slow and painful, the edges of the gash pulling tight as the golden light mended the damage.It wasn’t perfect — the skin would scar, a raw, pink line etched into my side — but the bleeding stopped, the numbness in my limbs faded, and the lethal poison was gone.When the light finally dimmed, fading back into my chest, I lay on the ground, eyes wide, staring in shock, every muscle in my body screaming
