I saw him. I figure moving along the edge of the walls of the training ground. He laid low trying to blend low with the darkness. He was doing a great job blending in but I could see him. Perfectly in fact. His steps were trained and precise. He didn't look or move like a thief. He looked like he knew what he was doing. He was probably a spy.He didn't look like he had an exact destination. He had just been going back and forth looking into each window that had rooms. With each look, he moved to the next like he was looking for an exact thing.I had a feeling that he was looking for me. With the sudden message that he got from Dane earlier. It was too much of a coincidence.I pressed myself against the wall, letting the darkness hide me. I didn't think so. I proceeded to act.My feet barely made any sound as I loved quietly and stylishly towards him.I leapt, letting my wolf guide my movements. I landed one feet away from him.I didn't know how I suddenly had a gush of courage but I

I had been watching her. Every move, every stop, every heartbeat. The spy laid on the floor. He was pinned beneath her strength. I didn't think it was possible for someone her age.Someone that is a Luna, at least I thought she was a Luna. The moonlight was over her. It clung to her. Her pale skin becomes more visible under the light or the moon. The glow, it wasn't natural.A spy couldn't get inside my territory without me noticing something was wrong.I didn't know what Dane was planning.I had watched the fight between Roslyn and the spy since the beginning.I had noticed something was off, and I was right. But Roslyn got there before me. She lunched before I could step him.It looked interesting and I had a feeling she had it in her.I stayed around just in case she needed me but I guess she didn't.I had seen warriors before. I had trained soldiers, assassins, packs of wolves under my command. But this… this was different. This was something confusing.Having Royal blood wasn't e

The study was quiet as usual. Dust on some book and only removed by occasionally sweeps of my hand across the desk.I sat back, staring at a book in front of me. My mind wasn't on the pages but on Roslyn. The power she possessed, the fight, the vision, and the power she possessed. That's if I was right. All these extreme powers didn't just come with being royal blood. It's more than a Royal blood can handle. Her lineage was not ordinary. I had sensed it the moment I first met her, but after her vision, after the fight, I could no longer ignore it. There was something ancient about her. Her blood. I had read something similar to this before. But I couldn't quite remember it.Something dangerous and powerful.I flipped the page of the book absently, my thoughts drifting away.Memories from my last life surfaced, fragments I had long buried.I remembered the rooftops of a city that was long gone now. Wolves had moved below, fighting among themselves, and I had watched, thinking I could

I knew something was wrong the moment Dane stopped looking at me the way he used to.It wasn’t sudden. Nothing ever is. It was gradual and it was something enough that no one else would notice, but I did. It was never like that before. The way his eyes were too long on nothing, like his mind was elsewhere. The way he uttered my name left his lips different from the way it used to be. The way he no longer reached for me in the quiet hours of the night.I noticed everything. And I hated it.I stood by the tall window in my chambers, my fingers around the velvet curtain.I justI stared out into the estate. The sky was dull, gray clouds gathering like a storm was coming. It was on the verge of breaking.Dane had changed. No, someone had changed him.My jaw tightened at the thought.“Roslyn…” I whispered, her name sounding bitter.I did everything to get her off my back.I even went to the extent of lying against her. There was never a child. It was just a way to get Dane's attention to

The dining hall had been cleared. All the servants had been dismissed. The food still sat on the table. It was still untouched. Still remained poisoned. I stood there, near the edge of the table, unsure of what to do with myself. My hands were still trembling slightly, though I tried to hide it. My wolf hadn’t calmed either. I had been right all along.Luciano hadn’t said anything for a while. He just stood there. His back was facing me. His shoulders were tense, his head slightly lowered like he was holding something back.“Find him.”His voice was low.Every guard in the room stiffened instantly.“Search every inch of this estate,” he continued. “I want him alive.”“Yes, Alpha.”They moved immediately, their boots echoing against the floor. The doors slammed shut behind them.Everywhere became quiet again.“Luciano…” I started carefully. He didn’t respond. He didn’t even turn. That alone made my chest tighten.Because he always responded. When he finally moved. He moved slowly.W
