Semua Bab Luna Lilith: Bab 61 - Bab 70

(author's POV)The dungeon had become Lilith's entire world. She no longer knew whether it was morning or evening. The tiny window near the ceiling only allowed the faintest glint of light, never enough to tell the passing of time. The cold stone walls creeping into her bones until she could no longer remember what warmth felt like. She sat quietly on the edge of the narrow cot, her knees drawn close to her chest, both hands instinctively resting over her stomach. It had become a habit.Whenever fear overwhelmed her...Whenever loneliness threatened to consume her... Her hands always found their way there."You'll be okay..." She whispered, forcing a weak smile through tear-filled eyes. "Your father is strong, he promised he'd protect us, and he always keeps his promises."Her voice trembled. "I just... I wish I could see him."She closed her eyes.Oliver's smile appeared vividly in her mind. The warmth in his eyes whenever she brought him breakfast... The fire that had been in his

(Author's POV)Lilith sat on the cold floor with her back resting against the iron bars of her cell. She had cried until no more tears seemed willing to come. Her swollen eyes stared blankly at the opposite wall, yet she wasn't truly seeing it.All she saw... Was Oliver. His smile. His gentle eyes. The way he always called her name as though it was the most beautiful word he'd ever spoken.A sad sob escaped her lips. Her trembling fingers slowly found their way to her stomach."Our baby..." she whispered hoarsely."Our baby will never get to meet you."Her shoulders shook violently."Why?""Why weren't you more careful?""You knew someone wanted your life.""You knew someone was trying to poison you.""So why...""Why did you let them get to you?"She squeezed her eyes shut. "I should have told you.""I should have trusted you, I should have ignored their threats."Fresh tears streamed down her cheeks."If I had told you the truth... They wouldn't have succeeded.""You'd still be al

(Author's POV.)The hall had fallen into a silence so profound that even the flickering flames of the chandeliers seemed to have stopped dancing.Hundreds of eyes remained fixed on the entrance. That voice...Every soul in the Blood Fang Pack knew that voice. It was the voice of a man who had commanded armies, settled disputes between rival packs, comforted grieving families, and inspired unwavering loyalty. It was... Alpha Oliver's voice. The doors slowly began to open... Then a figure emerged, one step after another. The room collectively gasped. There he stood, Alpha Oliver in the flesh, alive and healthy. Not a trace of weakness, or anything close to death. For several heartbeats... Nobody moved or spoke. The entire hall looked as though time itself had frozen."My Alpha."An elderly maid whispered before bursting into tears."He... "He's alive..."Another servant fell to his knees."The Moon Goddess has answered our prayers." One after another, murmurs spread through the crowd

(Author's POV)Oliver bent down, slipped one arm beneath Lilith's knees, and the other around her back, and he lifted her effortlessly into his arms."Oliver." Lilith whispered, her cheeks heating up. "I can walk. "I know." Oliver smiled down at her. "But I don't want you to.""I'm really fine." Lilith insisted, suddenly shy under the dozens of eyes on them. He glanced down at her again, with a stern look this time. "No, you've been through far too much." His voice softened."You've been eating those shitty meals they serve prisoners at the dungeon, you've cried enough to exhaust anyone, and you're carrying our child, so forgive me, but I'm not listening to a single complaint today." He adjusted his hold on her carefully.Lilith couldn't help smiling. "You've become very bossy.""I've always been bossy, you've only just noticed."She couldn't hold back her laughter, gripping him tight as he began carrying her out.Several warriors, and pack members saluted, making way for them to p

Lilith's POV.My fingers remained intertwined with Oliver's as we walked side by side along the path that led to the mansion. Every now and then, his thumb brushed gently across the back of my hand, so soothingly that I couldn't help but smile to myself. Every few seconds, my eyes wandered toward him, his face and his smile.Toward the man I had mourned. The man I had believed was gone forever. The man walking beside me now as though nothing in this world could ever separate us again.I smiled to myself again.Oliver noticed almost immediately."What?"I quickly shook my head. "Nothing."He narrowed his eyes playfully."That smile tells me it isn't nothing."I laughed softly. "I was just..."My words trailed away, as the smile on my face widened helplessly."I just still can't believe you're alive, I know I've said it a million times already but it's true, I can't help it."His expression softened. "I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing you say that.""Even if I say it another
