Lahat ng Kabanata ng Steal My Heart, Mr Cole : Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

Aaron Cole“Make sure it’s the blue diamond necklace. Wrap it nicely.”I stood by the large window in my study, phone pressed to my ear while Marcus nodded quickly, already preparing the box on the table. The necklace had cost a small fortune, but I didn’t care. After watching that physiotherapist smile at her in the garden, I needed to remind Laura who she belonged to. Something elegant. Something that would make her think of me when she wore it. As stubborn as I knew she was, I was determined to win her broken heart and fix it.“Yes, sir. I’ll handle it right away,” Marcus said.I was about to tell him to add a simple note when my phone buzzed with an urgent call from my head lawyer. The merger deal was falling apart again. Numbers, threats, and counter-offers flooded my mind instantly.“Take care of the card,” I told Marcus, waving him off as I answered the call. “Write her name clearly. You know who it’s for.”The conversation dragged on longer than expected. Twenty minutes of co

Laura Sterling“Oh wow, trouble in paradise?”Derick’s voice slithered through the open window like poison, smooth and mocking. My eyes widened in shock. I whipped my head toward the sound, my heart slamming against my ribs. There he was ....standing just outside the window, leaning casually against the frame with that arrogant smirk I hated more than anything in this world.“Derick…” I breathed, fear and anger mixing in my throat. He looked at me with fake pity, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction as he took in my tear-streaked face and the open gift box beside me.“Aw, don’t cry, sweetheart. Did big brother hurt your feelings already?” He chuckled lowly. “I told you he doesn’t keep women. Looks like he’s already shopping for the next one. Pathetic, isn’t it?”I gripped the arms of my wheelchair tightly, trying to steady my breathing. My body was still weak, but the fury rising in me gave me strength.“What are you doing here?” I hissed. “Aaron will kill you if he finds you.”Derick

Laura Sterling“You… what?” Aaron asked, his voice low and startled. His stormy eyes searched my face like he couldn’t believe what I had just said.I looked away, cheeks burning. I had already regretted the words the moment they left my mouth. Before I could take them back or explain, a light knock sounded on the door. The door opened without waiting for an answer.A very beautiful young woman stepped inside. She had long, wavy blonde hair that bounced with every step, bright blue eyes, and a figure that looked like it belonged on a magazine cover. She wore an elegant cream-colored dress that hugged her perfectly.“Aaron!” she squealed in a high-pitched, sweet voice. Gosh, it felt extremely annoying to my ears.Aaron’s body tensed instantly. For a split second, genuine shock flashed across his face.“Amelia?” he said, sounding caught off guard. Before he could say anything else, the woman .. Amelia...I supposed that's her name.. ran straight to him and jumped into his arms, wrapping

Laura SterlingThe car disappeared down the driveway.I sat at the top of the entrance steps, staring at the empty road like an idiot. My hands wouldn’t stop gripping the wheels. The clock on the wall now read 7:52 PM. They had been gone for seven minutes and it already felt too long.My chest burned.“Why did I let him leave?” I whispered angrily to myself. “I should’ve said something. Anything.”The jealousy I had been denying refused to stay buried anymore. The image of Amelia laughing and leaning on Aaron’s shoulder kept replaying in my head. Her perfect smile. Her easy touch. The way she called him like he was hers to claim.I hated it and I hated myself more for caring. My breathing grew faster as the anger, frustration, and something twisted inside me got louder.... I pushed myself up from the wheelchair without thinking, using the railing for support. My legs trembled violently under my weight.“Come on…” I muttered through gritted teeth.I took one shaky step then another.

Laura SterlingI took the last bite of my sandwich and wiped my hands on a napkin. Aaron was still sitting close beside me, his knee brushing against mine under the counter. He hadn’t moved away even once.“You’re staring,” I said, glancing at him sideways.“Can’t help it,” he replied, leaning his elbow on the counter. “You look better when you’re not yelling at me.”I rolled my eyes but couldn’t stop the small smile tugging at my lips. “Keep talking like that and I might start yelling again just to balance things out.”Aaron chuckled slightly low and deep. He shifted closer, turning his stool so his body faced mine directly. Our knees touched fully now. He reached out and gently brushed a crumb from the corner of my mouth with his thumb. My breath caught.“You missed a spot,” he said, his voice quieter. The touch lingered. His thumb stayed near my lip for a second longer than necessary. I felt heat creep up my neck.“You’re awfully touchy tonight,” I muttered, trying to sound annoye
