Semua Bab Chemo #99: My Wife Never Showed Up: Bab 1 - Bab 9

Winston's POVAfter I finished the discharge paperwork, I returned to what used to be my home. I pushed open the door, but the lively little figure that usually greeted me was nowhere to be seen.Had even Coco stopped loving me?Sadness hit me hard as I headed toward the bedroom. Passing through the living room, I heard a muffled whimpering sound."Coco?" I called out tentatively and moved toward the noise. What I found made my blood run cold. Coco was tied to the table leg with coarse rope around her neck. The rope was pulled so tight that her eyes bulged. Her white fur had been shaved in uneven patches, and her hind legs sprawled uselessly on the floor. Burns, cuts, and several gaping wounds covered her body, blood still seeping from them.Every drop of blood in my body seemed to freeze. I screamed and rushed over. "Coco!"My hands trembled so violently from shock that I could barely work the knots loose.A voice sounded behind me. "Winston, what are you doing here?"I tur

Winston's POV"You... you actually want me dead?"Rebecca's voice trembled, disbelief filling her eyes. She tried to say something more, but collapsed backward instead.Theo immediately panicked. He ran to Rebecca's side, his face stricken with terror as tears streamed down his cheeks."Rebecca, don't scare me like this. Wake up, please. Don't leave me alone!"Theo shouted in a frenzy.I laughed. I looked down at the blood on my hands, feeling nothing but satisfaction."You monster! Rebecca was so good to you! How could you hurt her like this?"Theo glared at me, his eyes filled with hatred as he screamed. I stood there frozen, as if I hadn't heard him at all, unmoving. It wasn't until the police burst in and slammed me to the ground that I snapped back to reality. Blood filled my mouth before everything went black. When I woke again, I was locked in a holding cell at the police station. I looked around. The cell was empty except for padded walls.A bitter smile tugged at my

Third-Person POVRebecca rushed to the cliff's edge without hesitation, ready to throw herself after Winston. But the masked man shoved Theo into her arms instead."Enjoy your precious choice, Ms. Walsh!"Blood spilled from Rebecca's mouth. "Get off me!"She shoved Theo aside and stumbled toward the cliff's edge. "Winston! Winston!"She screamed until her voice gave out, but there was no answer.Rebecca's legs gave out beneath her. She collapsed to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably as she beat her fists against her own head."Rebecca, don't do this to yourself!" Theo ran over and wrapped his arms tightly around her. He had never seen her this broken before. He tried to say something more, but Rebecca's eyes rolled back, and she fainted. When she woke up, she was lying in a hospital bed."Rebecca, you're finally awake! You have no idea how worried I was!"Theo threw his arms around her, relief flooding his face. But for the first time in their relationship, Rebecca pushed hi

Third-Person POVTheo was dragged to the hospital against his will. But Wes refused Rebecca's request."Winston already gave up on treatment. There's no point in doing any prep work now."Rebecca exploded in fury. "Who said he gave up? He's just… he's just—"The image of Winston throwing himself off that cliff flashed through her mind, and all the strength drained from her body. She collapsed to the floor."Winston is just upset with me. He'll come back." Rebecca's voice was barely a whisper.Wes looked down at her with open contempt. "What's with this devoted wife act now? Where were you when Winston needed you most? Do you have any idea how much pain he was in after every chemo session?"He'd curl up on the floor in agony. Do you know he couldn't sleep at night without painkillers? But what were you doing? You were off traveling the world with your lover, breaking Winston's heart over and over again."Wes' anger rose with every word. He stood up from his chair, grabbed Rebecc
