“You don’t have to be so formal with me, my Mate,” Ethan said as he touched my face and suddenly got serious. “What are you planning to do about Marcus? If you want, I can get all his stores closed down by tomorrow.”I shook my head softly and held his hand while I got in the car. “No, even if we did that, folks would still believe I stole their designs and poisoned Lila.”Ethan’s forehead wrinkled, and he sat beside me, deep in thought. Seeing him that way actually calmed me a bit. I leaned in and poked his cheek. “Hey, don’t stress, it’ll all work out in time. Just wait a little.”Ethan stared at me for a second, then grinned all of a sudden and pulled me into a hug, his low voice echoing in my ear. “You’re so captivating, my love.”“I’ve got plenty of other traits, you know, not just charm!” I laughed, looking at him with a spark in my eyes.“I’ve got forever to learn about you,” he smiled as he kissed the edge of my mouth.
