Lahat ng Kabanata ng Alpha Kael's Vengeful Bride: Kabanata 1 - Kabanata 10

Lyra's Pov“You will announce us tonight, won’t you?”I kept my smile in place as the question left my lips, but my heart was beating too hard to let me feel calm. Across me was Cassian Thorn, he adjusted the cuff of his black formal coat and gave me the charming look that had once made every girl in Black Hollow jealous. Tonight was the Blood Moon Ascension Ball, and everyone in the pack knew what was supposed to happen. A mating announcement at midnight while I as the future Luna standing beside the man I had loved since I was sixteen. The pack tradition demands that if a royal blood finds her mate on the night she clocks eighteen, she would be given the mantle of leadership but if she is unable to, she won't be able to lead the pack again in her lifetime.Cassian touched my hand, though not tightly enough to settle the sudden unease in my chest. “You worry too much,” he said in a low voice, like I was being foolish for asking. “Just enjoy the night, Lyra.” His words should

Lyra’s Pov I heard the words. I understood them. I simply could not make them real inside my head. Someone near the back dropped a goblet, the sound hitting hard across the hall. My aunt gasped loudly in shock. “This can't be true..” Elder Marrow sputtered. My eyes instinctively turned to Selene abd her face was blood red. Cassian stared at Kael like he had gone mad. Only Alpha Magnus found his voice first. "You cannot be serious." "I do not make jokes in public." Kael blurted. I finally stepped back on instinct. "What?" Kael continued. "A one-year contract marriage under Nightfang law. In return, Black Hollow receives military protection along the eastern border, immediate suspension of its current war debt, free herbs from Nightfang and the signed alliance you begged for." My uncle's mouth opened in shock, then shut. He had not denied begging for the alliance because that would have been another lie too easy to expose. The elders started speaking at once

Lyra POVThe servants taking me to my room was stopped by Raine, her face held disgust and obvious hatred towards me, I sighed internally as the servants gave way for her to get to me."You have to come with me to the ancestral hall and swear before the moon goddess, I can not have our Alpha bring in a destruction to the pack." Her tone was that of finality, her old hands remained in her staff as her eyes lingered on me, judging me, trying to ascertain my reaction, but I won't give her that satisfaction."Sure, if it means you would believe I was never a theif and disgrace to my pack, then why not?" I struggled my shoulders, unbothered by the curious gazes of the people present, I had taught they left when Kael retired to his chnabers but seems like they stuck around to humiliate me even more, but one thing I won't tolerate in this pack is being treated like trahs, I am the daughter of the late Alpha, even though I have been falsely accused, my confidence still remains."You seem so

Lyra POV"You seem to get it all wrong lady Lyra, the clause in the contract clearly said you shouldn't question me on my decision for choosing you, you don't have to let the pack walk you over, you are my Luna after all." Kael said with an expressionless face.I smiled at her, does he think I agree for that because I wanted to let them walk over me? Do they have the guts, aside from him, I fear nor respect anyone from the Nightfang citadel, after all my mother had put in some words about them that can't leave my head."You don't have to worry about that Alpha Kael, no one can walk over me, when is the mating ceremony?" I turned to Ronan for the last part of the questions. He looked at his Alpha for confirmation before answering."It's expected to hold hold three nights later at the blood moon hall."I nodded and Ronan eyes studied my expression carefully, he doesn't seem to like me neither does he dislike me, his expression hold secrets that I felt he might know so much about me tha

Lyra POV "Then I will retire back to my Chambers and await the ball." I said through gritted teeth, I have to get my self ready to face those bastards without tearing them apart at the spot."Why are you in such a hurry to leave? We have pack matters to deal with, you have to come with me to the morning meetings." Alpha Kael said with a tone of finality and I couldn't help but roll my eyes internally, still I nodded."You can leave us now." Kael ordered and Ronan bowed before walking out, not without giving me one last scrutinizing look, I scoffed."What's his deal? Why is he so sceptical towards me? Is he some sort of control freak..." I didn't realize but I begin to cuss under my breath, all this while Alpha Kael gaze remained on me with a smile plastered on his face."You'd get to figure out later, right now we have more important matters to deal with." Hearing his serious tone, I turned to face him, we have been bickering non stop like old couples indirectly all this while and
